Question about the upcoming "secure border"

How come Bush is going to put the national guard or the military on the border? Why doesn't he just add more border patrol agents like everyone asks for?

It seems that he just wants to plant temporary babysitters out there so he can remove them later and open up the border.

Lets stop right there. Did he actually do it? Did he say he is going to do it or is he just considering it? hmmm

Let's stay on our toes and see what he actually DOES. Lets not get fooled by a scam designed to make amnesty easier to swallow. NO AMNESTY!

I will believe troops on the border when I see them. Our amigos in Washington don't have much credability with me.

We do not want a repeat of 1986 or 1996.
Laws only work when the necessary funding is provided.

If we pass amnesty again, then I have no doubts that the entire nation of Mexico will come here. Two times we will be bending over and taking it from that piece of crap country - whos to say we won't do it again for the next 12 million of them?

And, if they ARE put at the border, I want to know exactly what their orders will be. Unless the the current stand down/catch and release is reversed, our borders will remain just as porous as they are today, regardless of how many troops are deployed there.

    On the border

I read that on the border really means putting them in offices down there.Unlike the brave Minutemen who are outside really on the border itself.Lie-Spin-Lie=Bush.

Question about the upcoming "secure border"

Or so they can use the National Guard to control any open
protests by U.S. citizens after they pass amnesty? Obviously, to
use the Border Patrol to do this could not be allowed, even in this
    present pro-immigrant political climate.

And/or, perhaps the National Guard will be used to assist the Mexican
Army in assisting "migrants" (and "migrant drug smuigglers") over
our border personally? For those of us who live in Texas and the
Southwest, this is not "paranoia"; these are valid questions!

I just wish I had a solution. Once they have us surrounded by law
enforcement and the military domestically, then we HAVE effectively
lost our sovereignty! However, the National Guard used effectively
in this situation for the benefit of U.S. citizens and legal residents
would be the answer to a prayer. It is not the military; it is their
    Commander in Chief!

I would expect to see lots of delays. National Guard troops could be held up for months as they get "sensitivity training" and "border control" training while information on which parts of the border are left open get transmitted to Mexican authorities so that traffic can flow more easily into the US through an unguarded "corridor". Expect to see some troops get set up to make it look like one has gotten racist with a Mexican migrant so that more "delays" are needed.

This is simply an APPEASEMENT to those of us that have been rattling congess.

As I've said before, lol, they're pulling out all stops making an attempt to "throw us off the track."

It would be a relief to see something done but like Grey Parrot it's going to do no good if it's just catch and release. Then on the other hand I'm scared for them because they could be shot at from the Mexican side as well as our own.
