Famous Marine Veteran Beaten By Black Lives Matter Mob Blocks From White House

A vicious racist attack took place in the Nation’s Capital last Friday night just blocks from the Obama White House. A decorated Marine veteran who served in the Iraq war was savagely beaten and robbed by a mob of Black teenagers who repeatedly yelled at him “do you believe Black lives matter?” as he ate dinner at a McDonald’s restaurant located at 911 E Street, NW, a mere six or seven blocks from the Executive Mansion. Obama has supported the Black Lives Matter movement, inviting its leaders to the White House while siccing the federal government on local police departments. Obama was recently called out for his anti-police attitude by a Maryland sheriff upset Obama had not addressed the killings of eight law enforcement officers in the past week. Christopher Marquez told WJLA-TV: “They asked me if I believe that black lives matter,” Marquez said. “I felt threatened and as if they were trying to intimidate me, so I figured I would just keep eating my food. Because I wouldn’t respond back to them, they were calling me a racist.”

Marquez says he doesn’t remember much about what happened next, but says the Manager told him the group followed him outside. “As soon as I walked out of the McDonald’s I got hit in the back of the head,or the side of the head. I just dropped to the ground, and he says I looked unconscious,” Marquez said. He suffered head and neck injuries along with multiple bumps and bruises. “Kinda brought back memories of the war and stuff,” Marquez said. Marquez was photographed in 2004 while helping rescue a wounded Marine. The photo inspired a statue entitled No Man Left Behind that has been placed at two Marine bases, Camp Lejueune and Camp Pendleton, by Hope for the Warriors. “On November 13, 2004, Marines were engaged in heavy combat as part of Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah, Iraq. Three Marines emerged from the house, then Lance Corporals Christopher Marquez and Dane Schaffer carrying 1stSgt Bradley Kasal to safety. Kasal gripped his pistol and Ka-Bar tightly but Marquez and Schaffer had rushed in without weapons in order to maneuver more quickly. The photograph by Lucian Read captured the strength and courage of all Marines and has become a symbol of brotherhood in the Marine Corps and beyond.”

Marquez told the Daily Caller News Foundation, which first reported on the attack, that he believes he was targeted for being white. “I remember this group of teens harassing me while I was eating, they surrounded my table and kept on asking me ‘Do you believe black lives matter,’” Marquez told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Then they started calling me a racist. I can’t recall if they were saying anything else to me at this moment because the blow to my head really screwed up my memory.” …“I believe this was a hate crime and I was targeted because of my skin color,” Marquez told The DCNF. “Too many of these types of attacks have been happening against white people by members of the black community and the majority of the main stream media refuses to report on it.” …Marquez described roughly 5 black assailants including one female, ages 16 to 21. -- Marquez said he was robbed of his wallet which contained $400 cash, and personal items including his credit cards, VA medical card and drivers license.
