Too bad if the Republican Party goes down-----because if McCain, Guliani or Huckabee become the nominee------the entire country is going to go down!!!! So, it won't matter if it is one of the 3 stooges or Hillary or Obama who delivers the blow.
I share your dismay. I agree that amnesty will set this country decisively down the road to dictatorship and even to dissolution. I think it will do so by delivering a critical blow to the rule of law and because I for one do not want to be part of the same Republic with people who came here illegally. I just believe McCain when he said that he heard us and gets the message.

Please watch the video link. It may make you feel better.

I tell you that the Democrats will destroy this country in just one term if they can get into the Presidency. McCain at least is for limited government, strong defense, and is proud to be an American.
Honestly........Being that Hillary/Obama AND McCain would try to shove amnesty down our throats..........If it came down to McCain as the nominee, I would rather see the Dem get it!!!

At least then we won't be GUARANTEED a military confrontation with Iran!!!

Remember McCain's little song when asked about what we should do about Iran.......When he sang.........bomb bomb bomb----bomb bomb Iran (Barbara Ann, Beach Boys).

I've been a republican all my life...Bush Jr. now makes me ashamed to be a republican! This traitor has sold our country out to foreign governments! McCain would do the same! If this is the new republican party, I want no part of it!

But think of what the Democrats will do if they win the presidency. They will finish the process of destroying this country that idiot Bush and Rove have started.
So if McCain wins the nomination, you'll vote for him and you'll help get out the vote and you'll pray to God that he wins because you know what the Democrats will do.
If we are smart, we'll go to him now and try to secure promises of enforcement from him in return for our support.

McCain says that he heard our message and has taken it to heart. Will he agree to a policy that is substantially tougher than the McCain-Kennedy bill? Or will he say, "We had two years of enforcement, now we are having McCain-Kennedy redux."? I sure hope its the former.
I just believe that he is the best of them, except for Thompson, but Thompson shows no sign of being able to win. Ron Paul has been slimed with those newsletters and those things go a bit too far for my taste. I still think Ron Paul is a good man though.

Give McCain a chance to make the case for himself:

especially look time index 7:36 of that video, but start a bit before that to get the lead in.
That is a brilliant speech, done apparently without notes, and it did a lot to change my mind.

If McCain is President, he will take care of the immigration legislation, and while he is President, hopefully a new party will form that can take on the Democratic Party, which is now a carnival freak show of wrongheaded radicals.
If McCain somehow gets this nominatiion. the GOP will cease to have millions of Conservative members including myself. Would we walk and let the Dems win by default? Yes, most will. Although that would in the short-term hurt the GOP and America. In the long-term it could save both by giving control back to the American people and not the rich corporate interests that now own our political leaders such as McCain. I will not vote for him!

I am Independent but Conservative, so, there fore I will not vote for McCain, Huck, or Guil, Hillery or Obama.

I don't consider Bush a conservative and I think he took down the Republican party with the help of his CFR friends. The Democrats are next.

If it comes down to voting for any of the above I will either not vote or write in Teddy Roosevelt or Duncan Hunter.

It would be better if we could select a president. But.....nothin' good comes easy.

We're electing a President, not a king. Things didn't exactly go the way planned for the bastard that sits in the WH now, did they? Power comes from out here where the people are. Yes, we can.

I haven't seen a lot of those videos on McCain, but anyone can see what a royal A-hole he really is. I really doubt he can even handle the stressors of the Presidency.

What is up with talking to voters like that, anyway -- "So, do you have any BETTER solutions?" What a jerk. Yes, it's called enforcing our LAWS -- that is the solution, you idiot.

I refuse to vote for him and watch his screw ups and volatile crap reflect on the Republican party. The man is NOT a Republican -- that is for sure. Sure, he'll let in 30 million illegals and we will always blame it on the Republicans!

If the GOP can put up a true Republican, they they will get my vote. Otherwise, go ahead -- let in Hillary or Obama -- then American can really see what Democrats are made of and perhaps it will teach them a lesson.

Unless the nominee becomes Romney, I believe that a LOT of people are not going to bother voting!!!

Why would they?? It will mean a push for amnesty for 20+ million no matter if the Dems or the Reps win the election!!
Even Romney, I can't vote for him because of how he wants to increase immigration, more free trade- more NAFTA nonsense, or how he changes his positions on everything.

A lot of republicans will not vote for him. A third party is needed to bring the republican party back. If enough of us don't compromise and vote 3rd party, the message will come across. Staying at home won't get our point across. We have to show them power in numbers by going third party.

And just what, pray tell, will the democrats do? Open borders, amnesty, curtail freedom of speech, refuse to cut taxes, be in favor of huge government, even global world government? Oh wait, that is what your guy McCain wants to do!

Spin all you want fella, if your guy gets the nod it is the end of the republican party. I would rather Hillary or Obama get elected than him. They support the same policies he does but if they got in power it will put some steel in the republican spines to fight their agenda.

If McCain becomes President this country is finished. Amnesty and the accompaning 100 million more immigrants it would bring in would destroy conservatism forever.

    The Republican Party's death wish

What Limbaugh said about the Republican Party committing suicide if they put forth John McNugget, backstabbing RINO liberal phony traitor, and/or his sidekick, Mike Schmuckabee, isn't news nor is it a belief unshared by millions upon millions of Republican voters. The very worst candidate and the greatest insult to the Republican/conservative voter base is to present the conservative voting electorate with John McCain, Ted Kennedy's bosom buddy and Washington beltway insider career politician fraud who eagerly collaborates with liberals and stabs his own in the back every chance he gets.

The Republican Party was already barely breathing and on life support after 8 disasterous years of El Presidente Jorge Bush dragging the Republican Party and the nation over a cliff combined with the electoral slaughter of Republicans in 2006. Making the architect of the blanket amnesty of upwards of 30 million illegal aliens the party's prefered candidate will be the final, lethal dose that kills this party and sends it to the dustbin of failed, corrupt political parties.

As if that weren't bad enough, we also have RINO Republican traitors in the US Senate who still work feverously to reinstate the amnesty they failed to cram down the throats of Americans and erase what is left of the US borders. One case in point is Senator Richard Burr who has come out openly to endorse and support John McCain, the scumbag who called us racists, bigots, and hatemongers for wanting secure borders, sane immigration, and respect for the rule of law. My conversation with Burr's Washington office as well as his campaign office (that's right, his campaign office in perpetual election mode) left no mistake whatsoever that this lying, phony, evasive creep not only supports the biggest SOB in the Republican Party, but is in sync with his continued plan to transform the United States into a third world sewer by flooding it with an endless tidal wave of illegal alien parasites.

Since each and every crystal clear plea, entreaty, and threat to these greedy, filthy, SOBs had gone utterly unheeded and totally and deliberately dismissed, there is no other option than to crush these traitors in the next election as they are useless and as bad as the political opposition whom they are the mirror image of. I suspect John McCain and our own despicable traitor in the fold Richard Burr, believe they have nothing to fear from the electorate they smear and ignore. I hope to prove them wrong.

The RNC party establishment filth who continued to push and peddle blanket amnesty for millions of illegals directly in the face of wide open, vulnerable borders, massive illegal immigration, and a global war on terrorism are literally begging for political death from a constituency already livid and furious at this party's constant and endless betrayals and backstabbing. I say let them die and be damned. Conservatives have gotten nothing from sweating, toiling, and struggling for half a century just so these jerks can spit in our face.

In my opinion, the filthy RINO scumbags infesting the Republican Party and infecting it at its highest levels would be more than happy to kill the party as a means of destroying conservatism and wiping it from the public square as they are at their core liberal socialist elitists who share a profound and arrogant distain for the average hard working, law abiding, taxpaying citizen and legal immigrant just like the commie liberal scum they side with.

It's time conservatives joined with disgruntled non-liberal Democrats, conservative libertarians, and others sick and tired of endless lies, BS, broken promises, and a degenerate culture of insulted, self-serving, arrogant political elites who do not give a damn about anyone or anything but their own sick, twisted, and selfish rear ends.

Good riddance Senator Burrito. I always knew deep down inside you were a liar and a phony and never sat "thoughtfully" considering our immigration dilemma you claimed as the reason why you were nowhere to be seen or heard from during the amnesty sham and why you ducked and dodged every attempt to get a straight answer out of you. You were waiting in the wings for another opportunity to introduce the garbage you and your buddy McCain tried to cram down our throats. To hell with you and him.
