Dems embrace immigration fight
By: Scott Wong

Polls show that voters favor Republicans’ hard-line approach to immigration, and there’s virtually no chance that any immigration bill will pass before Congress adjourns for the fall campaign.
Yet two days before the Senate heads home, Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) is expected to introduce sweeping immigration legislation, a move seemingly designed to drive Hispanics and reform backers to the polls and remind them which party is still pushing for liberalized immigration laws.
Menendez’s comprehensive reform bill — which would provide a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants — will most likely die a quiet death at the end of this Congress, alongside another immigration measure known as the DREAM Act, which was blocked last week by Senate Republicans.
But Democratic strategists say there is still political wisdom in the party’s embracing, rather than running from, immigration measures during an election year.
“The conventional wisdom is that [immigration] is a bad issue for Democrats. That is wrong,â€

DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS
We must stop this. The only solution here is enforcement of current immigration laws. We must never grant amnesty to law breakers (illegals enter without visas or overstay and that we must not tolerate). We know the Democrats support illegal immigration to advance their socialist agenda. The United States will never be a socialist country. But the Democrats want a socialist United STates. Therefore, in November let's remove from office all the Democrats and in 2012 let's replace Obama. The Democrats and Obama are socialists. WE do not want socialists in our country. We must never grant amensty to illegal aliens.

The biggest problem is the big mouth dems keep yakking about amnesty , or a path to citizenship , The dream act , ag jobs , no more roundups, no more worksite enforcement , no e verify
All this does is just encourage MORE illegal immigration
The dems and their CIR garbage need to get buried so deep it never comes up again

Justthefacts: As a result of the Dems encouraging more illegal immigration, the blood of every "migrant" that dies in the desert is on their hands. They keep insisting that CIR will eliminate those deaths at the same time they directly encourage illegals to make the journey.

What a freaking moron Menendez is.....We can't consider anything else until we give amnesty? I have never understood this argument. The laws on the books apparently need to be put on hold until we can accomplish proposed legislation. SUCH BS. You will fail once again in your amnesty bid Menendez, just enforce the law. Why do we have to make a deal just to ENFORCE LAWS CURRENTLY ON THE BOOKS? What's worse is that we have to make the first concession in this BS "deal." You'd think that they would at least secure the border to show that they were serious about negotiating in good faith. Yet, even this is not good enough for them. Now, amnesty is a precondition for securing our border? Wow, just wow....
Clearly the Dems are just playing identity politics and trying garner more ethnic votes. But the same can be said for powerful Republicans McCain, Kyl, and Hatch.....They are simply oposing the timing of this, not the spirit of it. After the elections those three will vote for this piece of garbage.Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.
See you at the signing!!

Menendez the name says it all.
Why do they talk about reform? Reform to them is just allow anyone from Mexico to come take jobs etc with impunity. Reform to them = Amnesty plus millions more on the way.

Menendez, Gutierrez, Lofgren and others don't give a damn about the Constitution and laws for which they took an oath to uphold. They have shirked their obligation to represent their legal constituencies (suffering and struggling Americans). They care only about those who violated our laws, borders, sovereignty and use stolen identities to take jobs from Americans and obtain public benefits to garner more illegal alien votes to keep their corrupt bodies in power. To feel any shame for the pain and suffering those on Capital Hell have inflicted on the American people would require a conscience which those on Capital Hell don't have.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.
