Cartel Hangs 2 girls, 25 Missing In A Month

We might not hear much of it in our news but the cartel war has not died down in any way. In the last month 25 girls have been abducted, recently two have been found hanging from a bridge Fresnillo Zacatecas after they were taken by the Gulf Cartel Gang. There intent was to gather information on the Los Zetas, the girls had affiliations with the Zetas.

This fight is over territory the CDG is moving in on the Los Zetas and it is all about retaliation. It is relevant to us because of the map. These are border towns. We know they have no value for human life and how close this is to some of our towns. We need to make sure we inform each other of what is going on, since we can not count on anyone else to do so.

Same old, same old. We tried Prohibition here at home, and we've tried interdiction twice. Once in Columbia and now in Mexico. By now, the results are completely predictable: gangland violence and massive corruption. To be sure, there are differences. I *think* that the level of violence against women is larger in Mexico than it was in the previous two failures. But aside from the gruesome details, the situation is the same.

I hope for the day when we'll admit that the only thing that will work long term is a policy of legalization, regulation, taxation, and education. Anything else is a delusion.

How do the Mexican men continue to just allow their country to be raped and pillaged like this?
