DHS PATROL ON LAKE ERIE
I was on a Lake Erie Island (Middle Bass Is.) this past weekend, not that far from the Canadian border and islands.
Parked in the "front yard" (lake) was a U.S. Border Patrol boat 20 feet off shore with a crew of 3-4.
I'm guessing that it was hiding out there waiting to interdict a boat(s) from Canada. Or perhaps they were waiting for a specific boat based on intelligence.
After being there for a couple of hours it raced off (4 outboard motors) around the East side of the Island headed North towards the nearby Canadian Island and out of sight.
Anyway, thought you might like to know that DHS does evidently patrol Lake Erie to some degree.

Hopefully they had some type of intel, otherwise 3 or 4 is to many to patrol a lake.

Ya, I was at Lake Erie going to school there once. 3 to 4 hundred would do.

By the way, Peelee Island, Ontario (not that far from the Ohio Island I was on--yes Ohio has Islands!) is the Southernmost point of Canada.
On a historical note, the 150+ year old home I was staying at was the end of the line of the underground railroad in Ohio. Escaping slaves from the South would be transported from Middle Bass Is. (USA) to Peelee, Ontario Canada--out of the legal reach of slave catchers.
Now people probably try to smuggle themselves into the US, by crossing Lake Erie.

1. Land
2. Air
3. Sea
4. huge border Lake
I vote for 4. All ya gotta do is go to some marina or boat dock on the Canadian side, gas 'er up, and hit the throttle. Crossing the big water unnoticed and unobstructed is highly likely. Just cruise into a dock or marina, or the shore on the U.S. side...and your home (here) free.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

If anyone cares to see it, I put a photo of the boat on the OJJPAC home page. You can go here (scroll down a little to see the photo):
