Heidi Cruz, wife of Ted Cruz, canceled her New Jersey campaign events that were scheduled this week.

This comes after The National Enquirer accused Texas Senator Ted Cruz of multiple extramarital affairs last week.

Capital New York reported:

Heidi Cruz, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, had planned to hold a fundraiser in Morris County on Wednesday and attend several campaign events across the state.

But a local Cruz campaign activist announced that she will be postponing her New Jersey appearances.

Scott DeCristofaro, a New Jersey contact for the Cruz campaign, issued a press release Monday announcing the cancelation of a Heidi Cruz rally in Haddon Heights. DeCristofaro said she is also canceling her other New Jersey events and plans to come back to New Jersey after Wisconsin’s April 5 primary.

Ted Cruz in December canceled an event in Rahway where he had planned to announce his New Jersey leadership team.

Cruz campaign cancels Heidi’s New York appearances

Ted Cruz’s campaign on Monday abruptly canceled two New York appearances by his wife so she could rush to Wisconsin to stump with him ahead of that state’s April 5 primary approaches.

The Texas senator was ready to put aside his dislike of “New York values” and stick it to Donald Trump in his own backyard, bringing the GOP battle to the billionaire’s base.

Heidi Cruz, just days after Trump mocked her mental state and appearance, was slated to meet voters at Connect Church in Bellmore, LI, Tuesday and then hit the Brighton Beach Jewish Center, the senator’s site said Monday.

But hours later, Cruz’s reps notified the church that Heidi Cruz was going to reschedule.

“They said they needed her in Wisconsin to campaign with Ted,” Pastor John Gravagna told The Post. “They’re going to be back next week or the week after.”

Polls suggest that Trump will win a majority of New York’s 95 delegates in the April 19 primary.

A March 18 Emerson University poll, the most recent in New York’s GOP race, shows Trump with 64 percent of the vote compared to Cruz with 12.

But his popularity among women has dropped after a series of comments foes call sexist.

Then came last week, when an anti-Trump super PAC released an ad showing a revealing photo of Melania Trump that originally appeared on the cover of British GQ in 2000.

Trump threatened to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife — a possible reference to a bout with depression she suffered years ago — and then re-tweeted an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz juxtaposed against one of Melania, a glamorous former model.

“A picture is worth 1,000 words,” the tweet’s caption read.

Cruz sparked headlines in January when he accused Trump of having liberal “New York values,” citing Trump’s prior pro-abortion stance and support of other Democratic issues.
