Divide and Conquer...

This tactic has been used in warfare since time immemorial. It is also used in prestidigitation (magic). The Magician misdirects your attention to an area of his choice so you miss the actual event that causes the appearance of magic.

We are being SOOOO duped.

With all of the laws that have been garnered to reduce our civil rights and our Constitutional freedoms, what ONE piece of legislation is at the root of it?

The Patriot Act.

While we citizens are mired up in the fight for our way of life;
Immigration
Taxation
Free Speech (1st amendment)
Gun rights (2nd amendment)
Illegal search (4th amendment)
Due Process (5th amendment)
The right of the People to challenge the Government for redress (1st,7th,8th and 9th amendments)

The other hand is cementing the conditions of the Patriot Act.

So ask yourself, what SINGLE piece of legislation abolishes all of our Constitutional Freedoms?

The Patriot Act.

The latest revision allows law enforcement under the guise (or accusation) of domestic Terrorism, to deny you your Constitutionally guaranteed rights of due process. If you do not know what that means, it means, No lawyer, it means you can be thrown in jail indefinitely, it means that ALL of your belongings can be taken from you, it means that they (your captors) can do whatever they want to you without ANY fear of reprisal. (by the way, that sounds a lot like a dictatorship)

This single Act allows the President (one person) to act independent of the Governing body of congress. To implement Law (martial Law) as He sees fit.

President George Bush has already made history by:
Going to war without congressional consent. He later got approval, but only because we were so vested.
Removing our security from illegal search and seizure (constitutionally guaranteed by the 4th amendment). Do you remember the evidence of illegal wiretaps that were recently discovered? (it was brushed under the rug... (The government wouldn't do that!!!)

Our current government in the time frame of one administration created it own version of the KGB (yes the Russia spy organization), Homeland Security, to spy on its own people. In direct violation of your constitutional rights.

It is time to get focused and stop being misdirected. The time for the Patriot Act is OVER.
END IT NOW.
Focus all of your energies on this one task and it will resolve many others. Just like pulling the one string that unravels the knot.

If we let terms of The Patriot Act continue, Martial Law will follow. Then all of the guarantees we need to stand up to our government will be useless.

can we use the Patriot act against Illegals?

DOESNT THE PATRIOT ACT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE AND HAS GOT TO BE RENEWED? SO WE HAVE TO FIND OUT WHEN THIS IS AND BLOCK IT. BRB

Here here. They really duped us didn't they? Remember the terror warnings? Remember we were going to attacked at any instant? What color is the terror warning chart? Don't know? That's probably because it was a ruse the entire time, and they have no use for it since they got their little Patriot Act. This was all a carefully planned strtegy to scare the hell out of us so we will give up constitutional rights in exchange for safety. Meanwhile our grand protectors forgot to close the borders. Next thing you know gun rights will be taken away.

Both Hitler and Stalin used murders, assinations, and tragedies to sell the public on their plans to crack down on opposition and consolidate their power. 9-11 gave GWB the opportunity to do what he and his chronies were planning on the whole time. Taking away our gun rights would be instrumental for them if they are ever going to acheive their ultimate goals of NAU and world government.

From the looks of that informative post perhaps we will find ourselves hiring illegal aliens to get rid of the Patriot.

OK FROM WHAT I COULD GOOGLE JUST NOW, PARTS OF THE PATRIOT ACT WERE DUE TO EXPIRE IN DECEMBER 2005. SOME WERE RENEWED AND SOME WERE MODIFIED AND RENEWED. I COULD NOT FIND ANY INFO ANYWHERE THAT THERE IS A NEW EXPIRATION DATE ON THE PATRIOT ACT OR ANY PART OF IT. I think their main objective would be to defend leftist organizations from infiltration by the feds.......But I think we can use them. They would have to expose their outright hypocrisy if they didn't evenly apply their opposition to the Patriot Act. Mutual interests.......Like we have with those lefties who are always protesting the WTO and G-8.
