Do the math...illegals cost us 338 billion pr yr

Some where around here I have seen that figure. So...

    338,000,000,000,000 x10 (so add a zero)=

3,380,000,000,000,000 If my math is correct this is about 3 times the health care money that everyone is so freaked out over.

Is this right? I am not a math whiz.

You don't have to be brother, you don't have to be. Here's a WND article from 2007 that estimates it at 2.2 trillion over a period of time.

And here's one from Fact Check. It's a little long, but has some info there. Not sure how valid Fact Check is considered, or maybe I do and my clutch is slipping.

    Actually, its much higher.

Most estimates of the costs only include the direct costs. Very few include the indirect costs.

Most estimates do not count the costs of the "anchor babies" who are, under current interpretation of the 14th Amendment, not illegal aliens but American citizens.

For the most comprehensive list of both direct and indirect costs, see:

BTW, Fact Check is part of the FAR LEFT Aneneburg Foundation. Barack Obama was the first Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which was a project, of the Annenberg Foundation, like Fact Check is. Bill Ayers is/was also involved with the Annenburg Foundation.

    Thanks Hyland

"Over the next ten years the total cost of low-skill households to the taxpayer (immediate benefits minus taxes paid) is likely to be at least $3.9 trillion," Rector writes. "This number would go up significantly if changes in immigration policy lead to substantial increases in the number of low-skill immigrants entering the country and receiving services."
