Thread: Does this seem odd!

I live in Ann Arbor Michigan the apartment below me has about 12 people living in it all Asian. The only furniture in the place are beds laid across the floor. They all get into a van in the morning and return late at night. I have informed both the appartment owners and police of the activity but still nothing has been done. First of all 8 people living in a 1 bedroom appartment
does not seem like it would be allowed.

It's hard to say. Prehaps they are just working a lot?

Contact your city code enforcement department. They should have jurisdiction over rental housing and, if not, ask them what department does.

You can possibly make your complaint anonymous.

Call city government. This is prob a violation of local occupancy laws.

Let us know what happens with the phone call. We are interested in knowing if the local gov would do anything about violation of occupancy laws, etc.
