    True or Not

    The information we have is Dole and Burr voted not to end the Workers Program in five years today..

    I am just trying to find out if it true or not..

    Sen. Dole has publicly stated she would not support amnesty. IMO, she proved that today by voting to kill the Z-Visa provision (amnesty). The vote definitely separated her from the amnesty supporters.

    I didn't catch that specific vote. It is very possible they both voted not to sunset the guest-worker program because most Republicans support the guest-worker portion of the bill, but the majority don't support amnesty.

    So in five years we may have 50.000 or more guest-workers in North Carolina who will not go home..

    Also they said they would give it two weeks of debate. That means that they might vote on it Monday-Tuesday of the second week. Also is the senate open tomarrow. They take Fridays off a lot. Might not be a lot of debate lefted.

    I did find out it's true. Sen. Dole voted to NOT end the Workers Program in five years.....

    We need to call her office to find out why
