Donald Trump may yet be banned from entering UK as government responds to online petition

Controversial US presidential wannabe Donald Trump may yet be banned from the UK, as the government responded to an online petition calling for him to be refused entry.

Despite the billionaire businessman not expressing any desire to visit Britain, the petition has rapidly become the most popular ever on the government's official website, racking up more than 560,000 signatures to date.

It came after a number of comments from Mr Trump which sparked anger around the world, including a call to bar Muslims from entering the US.

Responding to the online petition via a statement, the government said it did not routinely comment on individual immigration or exclusion cases - but emphasised that it could exclude a non-EU citizen if Home Secretary Theresa May believes their presence in the country would be "non-conducive to the public good".

    The petition

Entry into the UK is treated as a "privilege and not a right", the statement said, adding: "[Ms May] will continue to use the powers available to prevent from entering the UK those who seek to harm our society and who do not share our basic values."

    It went on:

Exclusion powers are very serious and are not used lightly. The Home Secretary will use these powers when justified and based on all available evidence.

The Prime Minister has made clear that he completely disagrees with Donald Trump’s remarks. The Home Secretary has said that Donald Trump’s remarks in relation to Muslims are divisive, unhelpful and wrong.

The government recognises the strength of feeling against the remarks and will continue to speak out against comments which have the potential to divide our communities, regardless of who makes them.

We reject any attempts to create division and marginalisation amongst those we endeavour to protect.

Well, there you have it! That's the very basis upon which the US Government can exclude any non-US citizen if our President believes their presence in the United States would be "non-conducive to the public good".

See? We don't need any laws, we already have a government that like England has the authority to deny admission of any foreigner into the United States for any reason or no reason and most certainly if and when we believe their presence is "non-conducive to the public good".

That applies to immigration, illegal aliens, refugees, asylum-seekers, anyone who is not a citizen of the United States.

I wonder how long it will be before the ISIS in the UK starts operating its "purity police"?
