Don't forget your passport after Jan 7
This was on the bulletin board at work:
"Beginning January 8, 2007, all travelers to and from Canada, Mexico,
Bermuda, Panama and the Carribbean will be required to have a valid
passport if traveling by air or sea..."
I guess foot traffic is exempted? Tunnel traffic gets to go to the
first class line?
"... affect all US citizens entering the US from other countries..."
I had to listen to the illegal leaf blower corps this morning. I have
to see illegals enter & leave the contractor office in the building.
The passport is a good thing, but the Orwellian twists are too much
sometimes.

I'm pretty sure the regulations-at least as they apply to Canada-are on hold for now.
During the presser Peter MacKay and Condi held a week or two ago it sounded like the restrictions on travel to and from Canada weren't going to be implemented, although that could have just been PR happy talk.Reporting without fear or favor-American Rattlesnake
