Thread: Elizabeth Dole

William suggested I post my experience with Elizabeth Dole and the illegal immigration issue on the website for your edification. I have written her numerous times and from different forums--some emails, a couple of letters and some faxes. I have written about DIFFERENT illegal immigration issues each time except one that, by error, I emailed twice. To date, I have received SEVEN of the EXACT SAME LETTERS from her!!
And, every single one of them seems as if she has not an original thought in her brain but follows the administration like a lamb led to slaughter.

After receiving THREE of the exact same form letters in ONE DAY, I wrote a personal letter to her and told her that, if she could not answer my INDIVIDUAL questions, not to bother to send me anymore of her form letters. About a week later, I received a call from one of her aides who babbled for 10 minutes about how she just had "so much mail about these "hot button" issues, that it would be impossible for her to reply to each issue". I told him that she had gotten my first vote and my last vote.

Also, I would add that Congressman Howard Coble has been absolutely THE BEST representative that I could ask for. He ALWAYS answers my letters and they actually address the issues that I have written about. He doesn't always agree with my position but at least he writes and explains, in detail, his position and the reason for same. I would never vote for ANYONE against Howard Coble.

I wish some of you who are represented by Senator Dole would write or email her about illegal immigration and see how many letters you can get that are carbon copies of the ones I've received.

I have heard similar stories about Senator Dope, er a , Dole from others.

I never get a response from Senator Dole. I guess she is just too good to respond. From the way I understand it, she doesn’t respond to most people.

I have contacted Dole several times on illegal immigrations and have NEVER gotten a reply. I wll do my best to get her out of office come election time.

I emailed Senator Dole months ago on the immigration issue. Not a word from her........ I somehow don't think email weighs as much as a postal letter but that is just an opinion....... I wonder how much my vote is worth to her?

You could always do what I did:

I took an envelope, placed all her "same letters" and sent them to her along with a personal letter from me and told her I felt sure her mother would be proud of her performance.

Then I said Libby, if you can't do better than this, don't send me anything else and I won't bother you again, especially with my vote on election day.

Also, don't bother asking for $$$$$. I'd hate to send you the same NO over and over like the letters enclosed.

Of course, my Mother WOULD BE PROUD!! She certainly is of this idea!!

Yes, Charles, I think you're right about that. I think by 06 and 08, lots will find out the hard way. I'm tired of being stonewalled on this issue.

I have never received a letter...although I have emailed her numerous times. I did receive one call back after a very stern distressed message was left. The legislative aide listened intently and then argued abit about some points. He was a young man from Texas. After some light debate, he admitted that he had worked agriculture to pay for things including his education to learn a trade and then moved on up in life. In otherwords, his LIFE made my point. So, then once in agreement, he was going to present this to Dole. As a result she voted with all other 98 Senators to one of the bills. I think it was the AGJOBS AMNESTY BILL. But she is FOR CAFTA and voted FOR several other bills that increased immigration limits on the H1B and H2B Visas....that we clearly don't need.

Hi--Good12Me. As a matter of fact, I left that part out of my posting. I DID mail back copies of all of the duplicate letters and I assume THAT was what initiated the call from the aide. I did exactly as you suggested--called their attention to the number of identical letters and told them I didn't EVER want to see another letter that remotely resembled that stack of letters!! The funniest part was getting THREE in ONE DAY! I just ROLLED. I had already gotten the other four so I was too finished with Dole and it had really become laughable by that time.

Another thing about Liddy Dole that ticks me off is that she jumps into Salisbury, buys her MOTHER's home and claims to be a resident of this state. Well, if she's a resident of North Carolina, she must be separated from her husband because, in one speech he gave during her campaign, he said that it was only the second time he had ever been to North Carolina!! I guess he didn't ever visit his mother-in-law???? So, where are her "family values" that she claims to be fighting for???
