    EMAIL SENT TO TENNESSEE LAWMAKERS

This email was sent to a Tennessee Representative. I would assume it was sent to every Tennessee lawmaker.

    (quote)

    Dear Represenative,

Most citizens think illegal aliens do affect their state or life.

I disagree and feel our state is in jeopardy if we do not enforce the immigration laws and remove the illegal aliens..

Please take a few minutes and view the videos and articles I am sending. Our country is under siege, citizens cannot enjoy their property who live along the border states that does not exclude Tennessee since we are seeing a big increase in illegal aliens and not all are looking for work. Many are criminals who smuggle drugs, weapons and people across the border.

I ask that you view the video below of a rally and the read the articles of what impact this will have on Tennessee and the country including draining Tennessee’s tax dollars to support an additional 100.000 illegal aliens.

What is being done to remove illegal aliens from Tennessee? The federal government gave the states the right to enforce immigration. The INS does not have the manpower to do it.

Start with the welfare rolls. Tennessee has one of the highest state tax rates in the nation. We have fought and fought to keep out a state income tax.

It is time for our state to place it’s citizens above illegal’s. When they are released from jail or prison send them back. If they apply for welfare identify them and send them back.

If you don’t do something Tennessee will face the same problems that California, Arizona, Texas and other border states are going though.

If you do not take action to remove the ones here and stop others from coming I have some questions .

Where will the money come from for public housing, food stamps, Medicaid, social security, WIC, families first benefits, English classes, Spanish classes, new prisons, additional prison personnel, new jails, additional jail personnel, bilingual employees, what about displaced workers who lose their jobs because they do not speak Spanish, will free Spanish classes be available to the public so they are employable, where and who will pay for more housing projects to house these low income non workers.

What happens when we no longer have a two party system and only a Mexican party and the African Americans are no longer the minority in this country. I was listening in on a talk show in Memphis recently when a Mexican called in and said they expect a race was between the Latinos and Blacks because the Latinos do not like lazy Blacks and they were taking all their jobs. I thought this was just bull until I saw videos contrary to that. http://youtube.com/watch?v=NGXLteQiQPU& ... ed&search=

America's Most Wanted Criminals Aren't Americans
49% of the most wanted violent criminals in America are foreign nationals

Stop this before we have a major problem. I do not want to see our state ripped apart by racial conflict and our taxes souring again.

    Thank you,

Nashville ranked first nationally in increased immigration in the 1990s, and Chattanooga and the surrounding area are likely see a significant increase in immigration over the next decade.2 The influx is having a dramatic impact on the state.

    Profile in Numbers

    Population Growth

Tennessee’s population increased by 812,000 people, or 17 percent, between 1990 and 2000, bringing the total population to almost 5.7 million people. Tennessee’s rate of population increase was 27 percent higher than the national rate.

Between 1990 and 2000, the three fastest growing counties in Tennessee were Williamson County (56 percent), Rutherford County (54 percent) and Sevier County (34 percent).

    Foreign Born Population

Tennessee’s foreign-born population increased 169 percent during the 1990s, the sixth largest percentage increase in the country. (The national foreign-born increase was 57 percent.) Between 1990 and 2000, Tennessee gained 100,000 immigrants, bringing the total number of foreign-born residents in the state to 159,000.

The increase in the foreign-born population during the 1990s accounted for 12 percent of the state’s overall population increase during the decade (not including the impact of children born to immigrants). About 232,000 people in Tennessee are immigrants or the children of immigrants.3 The INS projects that another 100,000 immigrants may move to Tennessee by 2025.4

    Naturalization

Fewer immigrants in Tennessee are becoming naturalized U.S. citizens. In 2000, 33 percent of Tennessee’s foreign-born were naturalized U.S. citizens, versus 45 percent in 1990.

    Trends for the Future

The Census Bureau projects that Tennessee’s population will increase by 18 percent between 2000 and 2025, to 6.7 million.

Impact on Environment and Quality of Life

Water: Population growth and development forecast for the Sequatchie Valley would outstrip the three-county area’s primary water supply in as little as few years, according to a study ordered by the Sequatchie Valley Electric Cooperative to find long-term water supply solutions. The area has been plagued with water supply problems; in 2000, a drought even shut down Bledsoe County schools for a week.5

Hundreds of the state’s waterways are polluted with silt and runoff from urban storm sewers, often killing wildlife and causing floods.6

Traffic: As population growth put more traffic on the roads, the average commute for Tennessee residents increased 11 percent during the 1990s, from 22 minutes in 1990 to 25 minutes in 2000.7,8

Vehicles in and around Knox County drive nearly 13 million miles a day—and the figure is growing about 400,000 miles annually.9

Disappearing open space: Urban sprawl is devouring 3,000 Shelby County acres—the equivalent of about ten Overton Parks—each year.10 Knox County and its contiguous counties have lost more than 143,300 acres of farmland in the last 15 years—land that is roughly one-fourth the size of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In Knox County alone, 221 farms and more than 20,000 acres have been turned into home sites, shopping malls, and parking lots. More than 7,000 acres of cropland have been entirely removed from production.11

Crowded Housing: Almost 19,000 Tennessee households are defined as severely crowded housing by housing authorities, a 55 percent increase since 1990.12,13 Studies show that a rise in crowded housing often correlates with an increase in the number of foreign-born.14,15

Sprawl: Population growth and urban sprawl are the greatest threats facing Southern forests, according to the federal Southern Forest Resources Assessment. Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau and ridge-and-valley section between the plateau and the high mountains along the state’s eastern border are especially susceptible to forest fragmentation.16

Air Pollution: As population increases, pollution usually rises along with it. Residents of all four major metropolitan areas in Tennessee are breathing unhealthy amounts of air pollution, according to the American Lung Association.17 The Great Smoky Mountains is the nation’s most polluted national park, with air quality rivaling that of Los Angeles. Ozone levels in the Smokies have violated federal health standards more than 175 times since 1998.18

In Chattanooga, an EPA-funded study found that 17 toxic chemicals are present at levels that could cause cancer.19

Poverty: Eighteen percent of immigrants in Tennessee have incomes below the poverty level (versus 13 percent of the general population).20,21

Tennessee has some of the nation’s leading meat processors, several of which are owned by Tyson Foods, which has been charged with conspiring to smuggle illegal aliens to work at poultry plants. A 36-count indictment in Chattanooga charges Tyson Foods with violation of immigration laws in the hiring of illegal aliens. Fifteen plants in nine states, including ones in Shelbyville and Union City, have been implicated in the conspiracy.28

Schools: Between 1990 and 2000, Tennessee’s elementary and high school enrollment increased 17 percent, to over 960,000. In Polk County, student enrollment increases have pinched the school budget, requiring additional bus drivers, teachers, and equipment. In Bradley County, schools are adding temporary classrooms.22 Enrollment projections for Shelby County schools, where schools are already well over capacity, show steady growth.23 “In the southeast, all we see is all this development. No one cares whether or not we have the space to put the kids,â€

    e-mail sent to Tennessee lawmakers

The Latino-Black gang wars are taking place here in Los Angeles. Nice huh? They just appointed a "gang czar" of course at the taxpayer's expense. Sickening. The Mexican Mayor of Los Angeles and the politically correct police chief have special order 40,which forbids police to ask immigration status. You are correct by stopping as much as you can in other states or you will have major problems.

It was forwarded and the name was included but I have not spoken to the individual so I left it off. I am hoping to contact the person. They probably do not mind the name being included, it is pretty direct and they are obviously upset.

At least one of our local Tennessee representatives is under attack in the paper and in other ways regarding his fight against illegal immigration. Both of our representatives are trying to do something at the state level. They are confronted with opposing efforts from the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) in Nashville, associated with another group, Ocoee Regional Multicultural Services (ORMS) of Cleveland,TN, the church, and others.

Yes, I am speeding past the number CostaMesaMan .
