For a third party try this
Take a look at the independent party, they stand strong against illegal immigration. This is the California site specifically.

We need somebody standing guard over the vote counting. We are dealing with a man that has no shame and will stoop as low as he has to to get his way.

I am about fed up with BOTH major parties, and I haven't even voted yet! Thanx for the information.

How about this? Why not start the 3rd party now?
Open letter to Congressional Republicans who “say” they oppose AMNESTY for illegal aliens
Not ONE of you is proven in the moment of heat.
The time has come for you to show what you are made of.
Form a coalition of Congressman/woman and go to Speaker Hastert and TELL him that if tries to force through amnesty that you have a coalition that will SWITCH PARTIES to independent causing the Republicans to lose the majority and electing Congresswoman Pelosi as Speaker of the House. When this happens you will have a 3 party House and you may end up working on what you should be working on. IMPEACHMENT.
Failure to do so demonstrates that you are a fraud and are unworthy of support for re-election and may only postpone the republicans losing the House until election day. The PRICE of amnesty is republicans losing the House and betrayed conservatives can make that happen even with what you think are gerrymandered districts!!!!!!!Remember the 2002 mid term elections? It was a lot of close wins for republicans decided by ONLY 1.5% of the simple electorate. If your base don’t show up and vote R you lose the House even with your gerrymandered district lines.

dxd...I like your idea. If just 10 could go independent it would cause an uproar.
The link above is a branch of the Constitution Party. I'll have to do some more research before they can get my vote, but for now, it is better than any Demisocialist or Republocrat would be.

The problem, dxd, is that if you attempt to draw candidates for a third party from only one of th two major parties, all that will happen is that you'll end up with one party (the Democratic Party) that caters to the illegals and wins all the major races and two smaller parties that draw off each other's votes. This is the reason that coalition governments are so popular in other countries. People can vote for a minority party with the understanding that the party will actually have a say in shaping policy. Two smaller minority parties can actually trump a larger party so long as no one party holds over 50% of the vote.
I would suggest that any potential third party be set up such that independents, Republicans AND Democrats who are tired of business as usual could participate. Yes, it would be a tough party to hold together and the party platform would have to be limited to a few key policy positions, but it would be the only real (if slim) chance to make a third party viable.
All is not doom and gloom, though. As they currently exist, third parties have the ability to steer policies of the larger parties so long as the two major parties remain about evenly split and the third party threatens to draw away enough votes to throw an election one way or the other. Ross Perot's candidacy certainly taught that lesson to the Republicans. That is the value I see in Jim Glichrist's run for the Presidency as the Constitution Party candidate.

CrocketsGhost,
RE:The problem, dxd, ...etc.
Thats okay. I have no problem dealing with problems I have a problem supporting problems and right now the R party is the problem. Right now the objective is to stop amnesty. And right now we need to know who is willing to switch parties if that is what is necassary to stop amnesty.
Keep in mind for the rest of this session a 3 party house with a D speaker would NOT mean that D can force anything through becaure R+I will still have the majority of votes
