We all new when we began the fight against illegal immigration in our city
that it would require diligence, energy, and patience. We also knew that
our opposition would attempt to re-frame the issue, focusing instead on the
cost to the city to combat lawsuits challenging our intention of upholding
our Nation's laws. We are now at a cross-roads: tomorrow night at Farmers
Branch city hall, the council will take up the issue of whether or not to
appeal the judge's latest ruling to the more-conservative United States
Fifth Circuit Court. The same vocal minority is clamoring loudly against
that appeal, in an attempt to make the council believe a majority of the
citizens of Farmers Branch want the fight to end now.

But now is definitely not the time to give up. Now is the time to bolster
our council, and show them that we support taking this fight - this fight
we can win in court - all the way.

Take action! We're asking you to do two things: first, email your council
and tell them to go forward! And second, attend the council meeting
tomorrow night, 6:00pm at City Hall, and sign up to speak to the council.
Tell them you want press on, and get this fight into the more conservative
Fifth Circuit!
