"The independence of the Department of Justice and the FBI is a particular concern when individuals associated with both the Administration and the President's campaign may be the targets of the investigation," the lawmakers said.
Why would the Administration or the President's campaign be "targets of the investigation" here? What crime has been committed? There's an investigation called by former President Obama pertaining to Russian Hacking of the DNC emails. The DNC emails were hacked sometime in May of 2016.

Trump and his associates didn't hack the DNC emails. Russia IF THEY DID IT, are very competent, they don't need "collusion" to hack the DNC, the RNC or anyone else. They don't need "collusion" to leak it to Wikileaks, they know all about Wikileaks. If Russia did this, and I don't believe they did, I believe a Bernie Supporter hacked the DNC emails, there was no "collusion" required to do any of it.

This whole "Russia hacked the election" story is absurd enough on its own, but what is even more absurd is the claim they needed "collusion" to do it. You can look up the DNC website on the internet. Once you have that, a hacker can get in and do whatever they want. Hackers are everywhere, a special breed of talent that knows how to do this.

The FBI was on this since May of last year, and they still don't know who hacked the DNC emails, which so far is the only "crime" here and remains unsolved to this day.
