Thread: Finally, a few good Democrats

Unlike my Congressman, Raul Grijalva, who would not only give the shirt off his back to an illegal alien, but would give him mine and yours too, there are finally a few good Democrats who are speaking up and don't appear to be following the party line about illegal immigration.

Former Gov. Dick Lamm and two other Democrats said a proposed ballot initative to stop illegal immigrants from getting government services sends a message that Colorado will not tolerate such immigration.

"What ultimately I want is you should not be able to get on an airplane, get a job or open up a bank account unless you're in this country legally," Lamm said.

He was joined by Denver community activist Waldo Benavidez and Fred Elbel, director of Defend Colorado Now, the group trying to put the issue on the ballot.

During a sometimes testy news conference at the Capitol, the Democratic trio was unable to say what services illegals are receiving that they would stop receiving if the initiative passed in November.

Immigration is expected to be a hot topic this year at the legislature, which convenes a week from today.

Lamm said he supported efforts by Republican lawmakers who want employeers to verify Social Security numbers before making any hires to determine whether the person is a U.S. citizen.

Benavidez blasted both Democrats and Republicans, saying neither party wants to tackle illegal immigration because they're afraid it will cost them votes from other minority groups or businesses that rely on the cheap labor.

Right On Benavidez, you are right and Americans aren't taking it any more. Democracts and Republicans better concern themselves with Legal Voters called American Citizens or American Citizens will find someone in new parties that will.

Both parties have let us down; almost ruined our country; borrowed more money in the name of absurd anti-American anti-Reason "agendas" than the American People can ever repay; stolen our livelihoods; spit on our ideals and beliefs and culture; and basically taken our votes for granted trying to buy some illegal votes by selling out our country.

Gov. Lamm's been a good guy for some time now. He has tried to reform the Sierra Club (unfortunately unsuccessfully) to take a stance against illegal immigration since illegal immigrants continuously destroy once pristine desert in there trek across the land. If the Sierra Club had any quijones' they would have fought against the destruction of the desert. Instead they keep saying "we're going to stay neutral" while the desert is being destroyed under their noses.

Well then, I shall henceforth withhold all support moral and financial from the SIERRA CLUB until they know what side of the line to stand on.

Hear That SIERRA CLUB? Your days of riding the fence with contributions from Globalists is over. Globalists will soon be gone and so will your "contributions". Therefore, you need to look to AMERICANS for money and kiss our ass for a change.
