You are for giving away our country, and we are against it. It is that simple, even if the Liberal media will not print the truths for fear of offending somebody, or that they may be unpleasant."

After reading the plan of San Diego I am even more phobie. But I'm reasonable, if Americans can freely move to mexico, especially the coastal areas, start their own subculture, then have the first baby being born in mexico to be a Caucasian then I'll be happy. Fair. "
Ingrid wrote on January 02, 2007 2:10 PM:"All over America there are countless media stories about the first babies born of the year, and they are born to Non-English speaking parents. I think there may be a trend developing here."
AE wrote on January 02, 2007 2:16 PM:"When a person arrives in America, and feels no need to learn the language, this reeks of balkanization, and also is very telling to our society that these individuals do not wish to really be Americans, only have the benefits of being in America."

Skip wrote on January 02, 2007 3:02 PM:"I would be willing to bet that if NCT wasn't so heavily censoring the posts for this story, that there would easily be over 100 posts by now! LOL Feel better Roberto."
Cal wrote on January 02, 2007 3:27 PM:"Skip, to be fair, NCT has been excellent on allowing readers such as myself to express a spectrum of opinions. I have had a few comments not published as well. It is important to properly present your idea and be careful not to get too angry and attack others. Be professional and I find NCT will publish it."
Jake wrote on January 02, 2007 4:00 PM:"Wow, how incredibly self centered you phobies are. You have to take on the birth of a baby as a political issue. How incredibly empty your life must be to do this. Happy Birthday Max - don't let the phobies get you down."

Fair. " REPLY: Already happened Cal... The US Department of State estimates that out of the approximately four million Americans living overseas, between 600,000 and one million are in Baja and elsewhere in México - up from about 200,000 a decade ago. The population in Rosarito is estimated at 95,000 with perhaps as many as 35,000 North Americans. Many of the residential areas are gated communities much like the communities north of the border. Most of the American residential areas are beachfront properties at prices much lower than state side. The beach here is one of the finest in México. In Baja California, an estimated 100,000 Americans have created the first North American land rush of the 21st century. In the last decade, an estimated half million Americans moved permanently to México, making the United States' southern neighbor the country with the most U.S. expatriates in the world. Not since the conclusion of the American Civil War -- when thousands of Southerners emigrated to México -- have so many Americans moved to México. Officials at the American embassy estimate that there are "officially" more than 600,000 American citizens living permanently in México, but concede the actual number is closer to 800,000. Treasury Department officials in Washington estimate that the number of Treasury checks -- Social Security, Veteran Administrations, tax refunds -- sent to México is "in the ballpark of 750,000." "
Gary in Murrieta wrote on January 02, 2007 5:27 PM:"I blame NCT for part of the frustrations. There was no need to go out of their way to point out that these people are non-English speaking foreigners. The story could have been portrayed as simply that they were residents of Murrieta. And now that the Anti-Illegal Immigration people want to post their comments, they are being heavily censored. To me this is race baiting. Why did they feel it was so necessary to point out that these people need interpreters?"

Adam wrote on January 02, 2007 6:33 PM:"I do not think the term Xenophobe is accurate in using it towards the Anti-Illegal Immigration people. There is nothing unknown about our country getting millions of foreignors. We already know what we are getting, and the economic results of these actions."

Not even the NCT would feature a feel good story about Illegal Aliens like this? Would they? I just want to know how someone can live in the United States for 30 years or even 5 years and not know how to speak English? That sounds pretty divisive to me. "

Resident in Murrieta wrote on January 02, 2007 7:16 PM:"Hey it is not that bad. At least not yet. I have to admit my neighbors next door are from South America, and they are legal (I think). The only thing strange about them is that every other month they have a different non-English speaking family living with them. I almost get the feeling that they are cycling all of their relatives into this country."

NEW YEAR
Dade's first baby of 2007 named for Virgin of GuadalupeAt 7 pounds, 4 ounces, Ana Guadalupe Vollmer -- named after the Virgin of Guadalupe -- was the first baby delivered in 2007 in Miami-Dade County.

Already the proud mother of two little boys, Alesia Vollmer waited patiently until the day when she would be told, ''It's a girl!'' A few years ago, she even put in a prayer for a daughter with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
''I really wanted a girl,'' said Vollmer, 26. ``So I made a promise to the Virgin that if I have a girl, I'm going to name the baby after her.''
came true: Ana Guadalupe was the first baby born in 2007 in Miami-Dade County.
Born at 3:15 a.m. Monday at 7 pounds and 4 ounces, baby Ana was delivered by obstetrician Edward Fidalgo at Mercy Hospital.
In Broward County, Jennifer Rivera, 25, gave birth to Alexandria Marie Rivera at 1:19 a.m. Monday at Hollywood's Memorial Regional Hospital, making the 7-pound, 4-ounce girl Broward County's first baby of 2007.
'Everyone was saying, `You're going to have the first baby. Watch. Watch,' '' Rivera said. ``I always see it on the news, but I didn't expect it to be me.''
For the exhausted Vollmer, Monday's shower of media calls and visits seemed to catch the new mother off guard. She had planned to enjoy a quiet family dinner with husband Gustavo and their children at her parents' house in Pompano.
But on Sunday afternoon, her contractions began and, as the day progressed, got closer together.
Vollmer was wheeled into the hospital just as the clock struck midnight. ''When we were going in, there were fireworks outside,'' she said.
The Venezuelan-born couple, who recently relocated from Peru to Miami, had mused about the possibility of a New Year's delivery.
With the official Dec. 28th due date passing by without results, an appointment with the obstetrician had been scheduled for today to discuss options.
''I'm sure it will happen on New Year's Eve -- because it's going to be a girl, and girls are complicated,'' Gustavo had told Alesia with a laugh.
Dressed in a fancy yellow outfit and white crocheted cap, Ana Guadalupe didn't seem to notice all the fuss going on around her Monday. She had just been fed before the frenzy began and was starting to doze off.
Wearing the color yellow on a baby's birthday and on New Year's Day is a family tradition, Vollmer said. Not only does the shade celebrate luck and good fortune, but in this case a feeling of being new.
In honor of the special New Year's delivery, administrators at Mercy Hospital have a special celebration planned for today.

Well Skip, you can share with them all that I do not consider myself a zenophobe as I live in the midst of illegal aliens, all of which do not share my race, if I was a zenophobe, I would refuse to live here.
However, I am tired of seeing them reap the benefits of being here illegally, bumping Americans out of work, having their presence, illegally, in our job market and depressing wages, as well as circumventing any and all laws they can within our system.
But....these OBL groupies are blinded by sheer stupidity to even see beyond their own latte's. I guess opening our country up to third worlders seems ok to them as they have yet to be affected by the illegals presence, but hey, their time is coming, those little New Years anchor babies will grow up with their parents morals and ethics, and will be entitled to anything they want here, as citizens, and these OBLer's will be ready to reitre, and it will come their way."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. I didn't see this thread and started a similar one.
In Columbus Ohio the first baby born on Jan. 1, 2007 was an anchor baby born to non-English speaking parents that came here from Mexico just 6 weeks ago the parents told the reporter through an interpreter.
This was in the newspaper as a 'human interest' story.....it should have been a cautionary tale of what the future holds.
We need to make a list of the various cities where illegals had the 1st born for use in our emails, faxes, and letters.
(I am assuming and rightfully so that if they need an interpreter they are probably illegal)A Nation with no borders is not a Nation"
