Like all of those who use emotions to determine what they do instead of common sense the good Catholic Bishops are very exclusive about the objects of their compassion. What about the tremendous burden their compassion places upon we who are legitimate citizens and not Catholic? There are 7 billion people in the world. It would be a safe guess that at least 2 billion would like to live in the USA. Why should Mexicans, who have the advantage of being next to the US border, be given priority over someone who, for example, lives in the far away Congo? Why should the USA not be compassionate and let the whole world be given legal residence in the USA? Why should American citizens be allowed to have a country of their own?

The emotional slobbering of the good bishops would destroy America, not only for US citizens but for all of those who would seek a better live by coming here. There will be no America, no prosperity, no stable society, no culture there would only be misery from chaos. Yes good bishops tell us how wonderful your compassion would be for those who have to live with it.
