2 Sur-13 Gang Members Wanted In Norcross Drive-By That Hurt Child

Norcross police are searching for Jonathan Augustine Yanez-Gomez, 18,​ and Kevin Ortiz, 17 in a drive-by that injured a child.

NORCROSS, GA -- Police in Norcross are seeking the public's assistance in finding two suspects wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting that injured a small child. Norcross police said that four men rode by a house on Marshes Glenn Drive. A child was hit by a stray bullet in the melee. Two of the four suspects are in custody, but two are on the run, police said.

Authorities have identified the two remaining suspects as Jonathan Augustine Yanez-Gomez, 18, and Kevin Ortiz, 17. Both are wanted on five counts of aggravated assault in the attack. The suspects are known members of the Surenos/Sur 13 gang known to frequent the South Norcross-Tucker Road area in Norcross, police said in a Crime Stoppers Facebook post.

Yanez-Gomez is described as 5-foot 4 inches tall and about 180 pounds.
