    government's math

i am having trouble with our governments math on how many illegals are here. last year they said there were 12 million, and now they are saying that there are only 12 million. if they only catch 5% each year, (and some are the same ones being caught) and 3 million a year are coming in, how over 20 years can they come up with a figure that doesn't move past 12 million? bush can't deport 12 million because that would only be a start, and we all know he can't finish anything.

Oh, they get their figures from the pew hispanic center, they choose to ignore figures from the hertiage foundation or the center for immigration studies. If the figures are low then everyone will be more willing to give amnesty!

    Bigmac,

Those indications should be solid evidance that our government doesn't know how many illegals there are.

they are saying a very conservative number which is 10-12 million. We all know those figures are grossly underestimated. I would be my next paycheck that its more around the 15-25 million figures.
