We have ten's of thousands of people with the same qualitications that could do the jobs. These companies need to learn to advertise job openings outside their city.

I live in Detroit, and the impression I have is that the high tech and computer jobs in this area have come under the control of very wealthy interests in India who stack the deck against American citizens. I believe that in the 1920's our own government regulated big oil in order to prevent the kind of "seizure of the market" that wealthy India has made of our tech job market, but no one in academia or media wants to "bite the hand that feeds" them so they censor this information.

The big news today is the fact that the mayor of Detroit has declared Detroit a sanctuary city.....and the police will be restricted.

Many people from India are here working without proper authorization. If the rule of law were applied then many of these high tech workers would not be allowed to have their jobs and American citizens would be productively employed in them. Don't believe the propaganda. Americans are actually good at high tech jobs. If Indians are so much better at these jobs, why would they have to leave India to get training in the US? So the "sanctuary city" policy is not just about poor, downtrodden Mexicans trying to feed their families. It is also about rich Indian job brokers attempting to prevent American citizens from keeping their jobs.
