TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Mexico - A speeding truck loaded with migrants headed to the United States collided with another truck Wednesday in southern Mexico, killing at least 10 Guatemalans, authorities said.
Eighty Guatemalans were packed inside the truck at the time of the collision on a bridge in Raudales Malpaso, about 60 miles northeast of Tuxtla Gutierrez, said Martin Rabanales, a spokesman for the state of Chiapas, which borders Guatemala.
The truck carrying the migrants was traveling 87 mph in a 50 mph zone and the truck driver was inexperienced, Rabanales said. He said 10 Guatemalans were killed and at least 16 were critically injured.
Thursday's was the latest deadly road accident in Mexico. A packed bus plunged into a 650-foot ravine in eastern Mexico on April 18, killing 58 people traveling at the end of the country's Easter week holiday.

However---the impact of millions of "wonderful poor people" is a horrible strain on our country. It is an injustice to our own "wonderful poor people". We can only spread our services so thin. Our country cannot absorb the world's huddled masses. Or at least not to this extent.
I stand sympathetic to their personal situation, as in being poor, but antithetic to their invasion of the USA. They need to fix their own country so they don't risk death and injury to gate crash into this one.“Homeland Security? What Homeland Security ?”
