The no mas pledge.
As illegal and legal immigrants alike seem to want a star spangled banner, perhaps a message needs to be sent to the illegals that they understand. As such, "No mas", a term Sugar Lay Leonard made popular when he dominated an opponent in the ring, seems like an appropriate response. They ask, "Who will do the work we do?". The answer is, We do. If I'm paying an illegal to mow my lawn, buying roses from the side of the road, paying them to wash my car, I'm part of the problem. If enough people say no mas to enabling illegal immigration, there will be enough of an economic sanction that they will be forced to go home.
From my own experience, and for the first time in 25 years, I now own a lawn mower, and already wash my own cars. The property management company I rent from was not happy with my response. Now imagine if half of their properties responded that way. We are a big part of the problem.
In the 70s and 80s, kids and students were encouraged to mow a few lawns for cash or to get part time jobs. There's no reason, as responsible parents that we couldn't encourage our kids to earn a little of their cash, and with that, begin to understand the value of money. And for those who don't want to do their own work, a simple want add will also suffice. "American Gardener wanted. Illegals no mas"

joejared,
Welcome to ALIPAC.
When I was growing up in the early 60's my uncles were big farms. They only hired locals and kids out of school for the summer to work in tobacco. No illegals were needed. I agree. Now if you tell your child to get off their butts and go get a job (which not enough parents are doing) they can't find one!

As far as lazy teenagers, isn't the true story that there just are not enough jobs to go around anymore because many lower level jobs are taken by illegal aliens who reduce wages and benefits? Times have changed since I was a teenager, but I believe the blame for disinterest in a job, lack of jobs, or good jobs, or a number of other gripes older people have about the young today deserves to be laid responsibly at the feet of adults not the young. And not primarily the parents but society in general. Adults have done much to screw up this and other countries in the past 30-40 years in certain ways. The world today is definitely different and I have to say worse than when I was a child or a teen.

When I was growing up kids were expected to work. I helped on the ranch from age five on up...and also mowed lawns, babysat, worked at the five and dime.....soda jerked...etc. Those were all teenage jobs at that time. Not illegal invaders. I didn't recieve an allowance...hadda make my own....sob, bawl, boohoo...but then my list of accomplishments and skills is mindboggling.

MustangJo, same here. I went to work when I was 15 at a fast food hamburger joint older than McDonalds. It was a few years later before anyone in my town saw a McDonalds.
The boys got jobs on farms or doing work for the local people who needed repairs (if the boys had the skills.)
Yep, I think those kids could work again today if their parents didn't have to worry about someone murdering them for their job because some illegal wants it.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I agree, my son is now getting his first job through my brother because he was turned away at every other entry level job he applied for with the no experience thing. Lower level/entry jobs are being filled by illegals who will take less pay, my son is looking for the minimum wage and these employers are not willing to pay it. I started working when I was 13 to help support my family, my mom was a single parent and we had five mouths to feed and cloth. I do not want to hear jobs that american won't do crap.
