GregGreatAmerican,
I was told by Brad Miller's office and looking at some of the articles
posted here it looks like the bill that caused the walk-out was the AG
Bill HR 3161.
They say this is the one:
H R 3161 YEA-AND-NAY 2-Aug-2007 11:01 PM
clerk.house.gov

It will probably stand.
It was a way to shove it down our throats and get away with it , save face for those after our votes and show the world they are not really one party rather then two.
Yes , I am saying it was planed and staged. They have already proven they do not deserve our trust or support. They have a growing occupying army to feed.

Nancy Pelosi, the Empress of Red China, is talking about how much the Deomcrats have done for the American People this week. Such as taking millions from our senior citizens to provide free health care for illegal aliens.

Looks like Boehner wants to cave:

Boehner seeks to smooth waves after House ruckus
By Jackie Kucinich
August 03, 2007
While House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) sought Friday to move on from a floor dispute that erupted on the House floor Thursday night, his deputy and many rank and file members stood ready to fight what several lawmakers described as an unprecedented violation of House rules.
“What happened last night disenfranchised minority members but disenfranchised members of the majority as well that voted for that measure,â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I very much want to understand exactly what is going on here. So...HR3162 will give benefits to illegal aliens that they didn't have before or allow them to continue to get the ones they have been taking? The republicans narrowly lost out on stopping this with a recommitt?
Big question as well. Where does this go now? Senate or to president? They rejected that it goes to the ethics committee, so no more discussion?
I want to understand what happened, as I feel anger that the democrats? just voted to use our money for welfare for non-citizens
and not needy Americans.
I thought the house had more sense. I heard on our radio last night a potential candidate for DC Representative in Illinois. He is very much against illegal immigration -Illinois can turn itself around with representatives like him.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

House Democrats Fail Democracy 101
By Tom DeLay
Friday, August 3, 2007
Last night on the House floor – that sprawling, brawling arena that was like a second home to me during my 22 year career in Congress – it seems pretty clear that a crime was perpetrated against the rule of law and the American people. A combination of arrogance and incompetence on the part of the Democrat leadership left the Rules looking like a prisoner at Abu Ghraib. Not bad for a Thursday night.
Here’s how it went down. The House of Representatives, like all democratic legislatures, provides for what is called a “Motion to Recommit.â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

ROFLMFAO!!! I don't care for Mr. DeLay and his finance shenanigans, but I have to give him appropriate credit for some creative writing! I don't think I've read a single item on this forum yet that's made me acutally laugh out loud. That one did!!Except here’s the thing. The vote was closed. Not open. Not ajar. Closed. The rules don’t allow for McNulty’s personal problem with premature e-gavel-ation. He screwed up and cost the Democrats the vote.
DeLay, you're still a sketchy fellow, but you get an A for creative writing in my book.
