Believe it or not...it certainly appears that the illegal House vote will be allowed to stand. Since Democrats are the majority party, they can block any "change" to what they say are the final results. What this means...is that more benefits are extended to illegal aliens.

I think I am going to be sick. More of my tax dollars down the cesspool! There are days when I seriously consider whether or not there is any point to holding down a job as more and more of our income is stolen to provide benefits for these deadbeat illegals.

Folks, I don't know what should be done about this over the long term. But the first thing we need to do is to get it maximum exposure. Let's make sure tonight that all our newspapers know there is immense public interest in it. Then plaster it all over the Internet. I don't do the radio thing but if there are week-end programs, that would be a good target as well.

Big question as well. Where does this go now? Senate or to president? They rejected that it goes to the ethics committee, so no more discussion?

I want to understand what happened, as I feel anger that the democrats? just voted to use our money for welfare for non-citizens and not needy Americans.

I thought the house had more sense. I heard on our radio last night a potential candidate for DC Representative in Illinois. He is very much against illegal immigration -Illinois can turn itself around with representatives like him.

See I’m not sure either ,I read somewhere earlier, that Bush would plan veto, but only to gain some popularity .

House Democrats Want To Raise Your Taxes To Expand Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants

An Outrage on the House Floor


High drama on the house floor tonight. Dems brought an Agriculture appropriations bill to the floor greatly expanding government programs, yet again. Republicans moved to recommit the bill to committee, in order to add language prohibiting any taxpayer funds under the agriculture programs from going to illegal immigrants.

The Democrat chair closed the roll call when Republicans had won – as the electronic voting tally indicated enough votes to return the bill to committee. Shouting erupted on the floor, as the Democrats attempted to change the outcome of the vote after the gavel had come down – the vote was closed.

Republicans attempted to adjourn, but we were ruled out of order. Confusion set in as members waited at least five minutes for the chair’s decision.

Republicans members then began to leave the floor in protest, after Democrats proved they would go to whatever lengths necessary to further their agenda. A bad call by the chair, the vote was closed. Then the Democrats allowed their members to continue voting to change the outcome. An outrage. Is this a democracy or a dictatorship?

All but a few Republicans refused to vote on final passage since it became obvious that a fair vote would not happen.

UPDATE:Republicans are conferencing this morning after the travesty that occurred last night on the floor of the house. The overwhelming sense of the members is, we have to stand up and reject the democrats manipulation of the rules of the house to further their attempts to thwart Republican efforts to stop government benefits from flowing to illegal immigrants. Republican house members are demanding that democrats right their wrongs.

This is the time to call Nancy Pelosi and Mike Thompson of CA and tell them you are boycotting CA wines. Tell them you are passing the word along. Tell them you can't afford to buy wines that help out Congress persons who vote against the American Citizen and for foreign nationals. Tell them you are spreading the word to use any wines outside of the US and particularly CA wines.

It will hurt both of their districts and it will cripple the economy of CA.

Call their local offices because I think they are in recess for the month of August now.

We should call every Congressmen that voted against giving illegal aliens benefits and tell them to fillibuster any bill that comes up in Congress until the final vote on the Ag Bill is respected by the mayority.

Well, I've been reading all this because I wasn't sure how the voting went down. But I think I get it now. We wanted the Boerner's Bill to pass and that was the one that caused the fight. The bill did pass. This bill would have included the language to prevent any benefits to illegal children.

So we need to make sure they let this passage stand. I was of a mind all day that it was the nay votes we wanted, but if you look at the list, all of those who are against illegal immigrantion voted yes. If someone else sees this different, let us know.
