Help Needed to Contact VA Lawmakers to Screen VA Employees!
Dear Fellow ALIPACERs,
A recent July 15, 2007 story in the Washington Post described illegal aliens from Mexico being employed by a subcontractor of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and making substantial wages!
We need to let VA lawmakers know that this is unacceptable, and the Commonwealth of VA needs to be responsible for its employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Please go to the following Focus Campaign thread and contact Virginia Lawmakers, and ask that they more thoroughly screen their employees and contractors/subcontractors, and verify social security numbers and names. Please contact Ostrich by PM if you have any questions. The original article from the Washington Post is also posted there.

Can we get a few more volunteers to make calls on this effort this week?
Please chime in if you are willing to make the calls and send the e-mails.

Perhaps ICE would get involved. See the following link in ALIPAC about ICE arrests in Mississippi of contractors and employees who are illegal and hire illegals. They even confiscated their funds.
