    Hershey chocloate

Hershey in Oakdale California shut it's factory today to move to Mexico! More Americans losing jobs. Please call and voice outrage. Their CS number is 1-800-468-21714 Corporate is 717-534-66799. I'am truly saddened and mad by this, those poor people.

I don't remember where I heard it but there's been some up-set with Hershey....they say the chocolate is far less quality than it used to be and they were raising prices too boot. Keep going with that "cheap" mentality all the way around and they will put themselves out of business.......

People can call to voice their outrage, but they won't listen. Remember, it's all about money with these big companies. Sad.

Hershey moved a plant from here in Penna. to Mexico. I haven't bought a piece of their chocolate in a year. There are many alternatives.

Exactly....like they have high standards. I saw them whizzing on produce sent to restaurants here....I'd hate to think of what happens in factories.

You are exactly right. Lou Dobbs did a few segments on imported food and Hersheys was mentioned. The little that was inspected, and total inspections are less than 1% of all imported foods total, were contaminated with insects and bacteria. Fortunately, my husband was watching that segment and he was a huge M&M fan. Mars Candy is also made in Mexico. Most foods from Mexico and China that were inspected were found contaminated with all sorts of things.

We only buy a product that says "Made in USA". You have to spend a lot of time looking at labels - some just have the company's name with a US address, but the product can come from anywhere. I have found many made here or I buy imported chocolate from Switzerland or Belgium - they have better controls.

The new horizon problem is the drugs made in China. I believe they have found a solution to our Social Security crisis.
