Thread: Hockey analyst Mike Heika just surprised me

In the break between 2nd and 3rd period of the Stars/ Thrashers game, segment guest Mike Heika, hockey analyst for the Dallas Morning News and ESPN contributir, and Stars color commentator Daryl Reaugh were discussing favorite newscasts. Reaugh was joking about all the "anchor babes" that the newscasts, and particularly CNN, have been using for their afternoon newscasts lately, when Heika blurted out that he liked Lou Dobbs. Reaugh looked confused, so Heika elaborated by saying, "C'mon, Lou Dobbs... He's out there trying to protect Texas' borders. You have to love that." Reaugh, a Canadian by birth, looked like he had no idea how to respond, so he mumbled for a moment and then they moved on.

When sports analysts start offering up that sort of commentary unsolicited, you know that this is an issue that people are riled about.

Jocks talking immigration??!! That speaks volumes about the extent of this discussion. Right before the elections, O'Reilly acknowledged that immigration was a "hot" topic and was going to get worse, a "lot worse."
