I voted for Bush and was Wrong!!

This is from another forum I frequent. This guy and I agree that voting for Bush in 04' was a mistake.

Yeah, count me in that boat too. Then again, what was the right choice?

Here's a piece I wrote shortly before the election:

Spare me your platforms and spare me your spin,
John Kerry's a blowhard and Bush is his twin.
    Promises, handshakes, a plastic-lipped grin,
then cover your ass from a decades-old sin,
Edwards' a phony behind all the teeth,
and Cheney's no angel, but black underneath.

No one is trusting the C.B.S. news,
or partisan bull**** that Dan Rather spews,
polls are all crooked, and networks abuse,
the overcooked numbers they think they can use.
None of the anchors are worthy of trust,
they're only deserving our rankest disgust,
morally bankrupt, it's power they lust,
they haven't an inkling what's proper, what's just.

    Globalist king-pins and socialist slime,
are dined at the White House and shown a good time,
    given assistance on taxpayer's dime,
they spend all their lucre on human-rights crime,
exporting madness and swimming in blood,
relying on snitches and backstabbing crud.

Slogging through pastures of third-world mud,
the refugees flea in a borderless flood.

No one is heeding the dire reports,
of brutal convictions in kangaroo courts,
we're too busy shopping in ball caps and shorts,
while sopping up music and dwelling on sports.
    No, I am no better, in point of fact, WORSE;
I sit on my ass and write second-rate verse,
Hording our money, I sit on the purse...
born of the wealthy is blessing and curse.

Slammin this home now I just got to write,
that nothing is hopeless, it's well worth a fight,
Try and stay focused, yeah, try ta keep tight,
You're better off thinking that prospects are bright.

Our choices in 2004 were not good at all:
We have globalist workforce supporter George W. Bush, and we have open borders supporter John F. Kerry. Americans for Better Immigration give Kerry a grade of D- .

I think our choices were bad(Bush) and worse(Kerry).

I voted for Bush 41, in '88, following the "lesser of two evils" line of thinking. Since then, I've voted for alternative party candidates and independents, for president.

The candidates put up by the Establishment remind me of professional wrestlers - while there are some differences in domestic policy positions between them, when push comes to shove, it's a fake, rigged game.

The only think I sould add this season is American Idol.

I cast one vote for George Sr. and never a vote for Jr. and I had a chance to vote for him 4 times. Twice for governor and twice for president.

I tried to warn people about him but they bought the lies.

I was warned about Bush also Dixie. There just was not a clear choice. We have to make sure that we have a choice this go around. If Illegals vote we will lose in the Primaries. It is that simple. We have got to get a good person in there and just keep exposing everyone one by one. Pelosie and her vineyard for one. If the politicans are using the american people for there own financial gain they should be hung out to dry. I know that there has to be a law somewhere on the books about that. If even one is caught employing them there should be fallout. They are mixing business with there own agenda in politics. That is just not right. There is something wrong with the Dems trying to control the vote by courting LaRaza. How much more crooked can you get? Maybe we need to pick on a few senators a day and see what we can find out about there holdings. But then you look at Cheny and Haliburton and Bush for Oil. Good heavens the corruption never stops.

We had no choice either time. We had Gore, Kerry or Pres. Bush -

    Flip a coin?

I didn't vote at all - couldn't hold my nose long enough - but I can't fault anyone for voting for Pres. Bush. If I had been forced to vote, I, too, would have voted for him.

What I do fault people for, however, is their dogged defense of this man, for far too long.

When he made amnesty one of his first stated goals, people should have begun screaming then.

It is certainly understandable to vote for the lesser of two evils - but remember the one you voted for is still an evil, and hold them accountable.
