Thread: How do I find information about # of temporary workers in US

Let me call on the brain power that is present in this forum and ask a question.

What would be the best source for me to use find out the number of "temporary" workers that come to the Untied States each year? I'm hoping that I can find this information online.

The reason that I would like to obtain this information is to disprove the claim of a supporter of a "guest worker" program that claims that when the U.S. had the "bracero" program illegal immigration was not a problem because there was a manageable guest worker program.

I believe that we already have thousands upon thousands of guest workers coming to the U.S. each year though work visas. I'm not too familiar with the "bracero" program, though.

Wasn't "Operation W*tback" conducted by the Eisenhower administration during the time of the "bracero" program?

I heard something very disturbing tonight on the BBC. Have no idea if it's factual but they said that the

UNITED STATES - in 2005 or 06 {can't remember the exact date}

has had 35 MILLION legal 'migrants' enter the country

If this is true, then we are in deeper doo doo than I believed. ADD the untold numbers of ILLEGALs and it's mind boggling.
