    How easy to get a Matricula Consular card?

    Curious. How hard is it to get one? Do I just call a consulate and ask for one? Do I have to prove I am a mexican national?

    Seems like it might be handy. Get pulled over for a ticket; whip it out. Want to get credit that I am likely to default on; whip it out.

    You don't even have to show up at the Counsulate and wait in line if you hire an attorney.

    Some time back a reporter on CNN went and got one (white guy) and showed it on Lou Dobbs. The reporter went to the Mexican Consulate to show him he had the card and the Consulate went ballistic. Funny how these guys get so angry at their own inefficiencies isn't it?
