Hershey just closed the Reading, PA plant that makes York Peppermint Patties, putting several hundred Americans out of work. It is also my understanding that Hershey Kisses are now made in Mexico. I will either find a chocolate made in the USA, or I will do without. With summer swimsuit season just around the corner, that's not a bad idea.

The rest of the world thinks Americans are too pampered and soft to do without or to put up a fight. The rest of the world is in for a very rude awakening.
I was at the grocery store yesterday looking over what's available in the Easter Candy Department. Nothing in that huge section was made in the USA. It was either made in Mexico or Canada. ALL of the traditional Easter treats WE grew up with here in the USA is non existent as far as being made in the USA. THE NWO is here folks! The USA has been invaded, occupied, looted and left for dead!

I feel glad my kids are getting beyond the Easter basket stage, considering the shape of the candy aisle and the outsourcing by those candy companies.

Mexico, well, I guess the words I have for them, are simply not appropriate here. However, I will say that the words and feelings are one in the same when France began to bash us after 9/11.

I believe we all know what we need to do, but Obama will sit and let Mexico suck it's proverbial thumb and whine, and he'll likely give in and let them have their way. We KNOW we cannot depend on him in this and he will just allow them to have what they want, and Americans will be given the shaft again in it all.

close down the border. put military on it.
with live ammunition. have them ride with BP agents and when
those agents are fired upon, the military can return fire

when the Bp agents have rocks and other things thrown at them, the military can return fire. i bet this will stop really soon if it were to happen

I totally agree with you The US Citizens are always left out of the decisions that are made in this country while every other country and their Citizens have all the say The Forefathers are turning in their graves right now and probably have been for quit awhile now. So much for R.I.P

    Simple.
Impose Tarriffs of our own. on all imported goods from everywhere. Make it more expensive to buy from other countries not less.
On a local level check labels and if it doesn't say where it was made put it back on the shelf.

As for the mexican easter candy. Make the majority of the treats yourself Fudge chocolate easter eggs rolled in coconut and a few jelly beans from See's or some company made in America.
Kids don't compare Easter baskets do they?

It is a shame that the simply joys of Easter baskets has gone down the tube due to candy from places with questionable cleanliness standards.

My own kids no longer get them, but my grandson does. Peeps are good and made here, and you can find US made candy, you just have to read the labels.
