Without the Rhino's, this never would have passed. Before I hear one more person rip on the Republicans, you better look at the Democrats and their voting record. Henry Reid is an idiot

The first question is, if the MAJORITY of R are against the bill what is the bill even doing on the floor of a Republican senate? The answer is that the republicans want amnesty or else it would not even be on the floor. But the D wants amnesty too. So the R leadership brings the bill to the floor and mostly D votes for the bill. This way R gets amnesty and they can blame the dems and "hope" that the electorate is dumb and blind enough not to see the scam. See the scam?

And Frist is now saying that there are problems with what they just passed, so it will be up to the House to fix things.

So, the Senate "leadership" is already setting up the House to take the fall for this abomination.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

Yes the Senate are willing to see the House take the fall!!

A man on Fox News said that Jeff Sessions was told by other Senators to just vote for the Bill ,and the House will take care of the rest.

Those cut throats are willing to make the House take the fall for them !!!! Thank goodness Jeff Sessions has integrity!

I am going to remember every low down Senator's name that sold our country out . If they plan to run in 2008, I will not forget

The next step is House-Senate conference. There will be conferees from both the House and Senate so each body will in theory have a say so on any compromise bill. Then whatever comes out of conference must go to and be passed by both the full house and full senate and be signed by the prez. The republicans have plenty more tricks up their sleeve so stay on your toes. Unfortunatley some blind republican supporters don't seem to mind being scammed over and over and over and over. But then again some do mind. If amnesty becomes law I will vote against every R on the ballot on election day.

I blame the Republican Leadership as well...people like McCain, Frist, Specter...and Lindsay Graham...what a surprising sell-out he turned out to be.

    UGH!!

And McCain dare thinks he has a chance for the White House in 2008?

    On what planet, Sir?

    Who is in control?

If the lame brained Senate thinks the House is going to take the fall for the Senate's incompetence they couldn't be more wrong. The House passed measure is in lock-step with the sentiments of the majority of the American electorate. Even if nothing emerges from conference the American people will go after the Senate as they are the ones who passed this atrocious excuse for a bill which, if enacted would destroy the middle class and bankrupt the economy.

I have to disagree about it being a Republican scam. I think it was a sleazy, elitist, politician scam. They all get hysterical when one of their own gets popped for scamming money. If they had been as outraged for the American people as they were for one of their own, we wouldn't be having these discussions.
I think they are all, with the exception of a few, guilty.
