    Negate the Kimberly Clark boycott

Check your paper products, buy from Kimberly Clark because the illegals won't. I don't know how much impact the boycott is having but the various Aztlan etc. sites are touting to boycott KC products, among others.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Jon Garrido, an Arizona entrepreneur and publisher, is leading an effort to boycott Kimberly-Clark paper products, such as Kleenex, Huggies, Scott towels, and Depends, since Republican Congressman James Sensenbrenner, who is a leader in immigration reform measures, is an heir to the Kimberly-Clark fortune. According to a website sponsored by Garrido (www.axkc.net), who has developed sites for Wal-Mart and administered Federal housing grants, Sensenbrenner is the “author/sponsor of HR 4437 which would turn 11 million undocumented immigrants into felons, punish anyone guilty of providing them assistance, and construct an iron wall between the US and Mexico. “ The website goes on to urge Latinos to boycott Kimberly-Clark goods in the US and Latin America and to contact everyone they know about the connection between Congressman Sensenbrenner and the paper products manufacturer.
    -------------------------------------------
Gives me a crazy idea. When you drive by dayworker areas or anywhere illegals are congregating just wave Kleenex tissues or paper towels, those illegals "in the know" will "understand" the message.

    Let's make Kimberly Clarke rich!

Have had so much fun looking up politicians' views, media not reporting everything and writing letters to everyone that I decided to join this forum. Keep up the great work and hope I can help in my small way. Like buying Kimberly Clarke!

    Just an opposing view ----

Does this corporation hire illegals? Or support the illegal organization?

Shouldn't that be our only criteria for actions one way or another?

If this company hires illegals and their company is going to be hurt, why help them? Why don't we give them a choice - our money or your illegal workers?

This congressman has had years to do something about illegal immigration and has done nothing - until now and it is highly suspect.

The house is at risk this election and Americans want something done. The money men who own the politicians want an amnesty bill passed. So they knew it would take a lot of fancy dancing to get both accomplished.

The house passed a really tough bill - one they knew would be eviserated in the senate - but could still allow them to look good and most importantly could be used, in its stripped down version, as a vehicle for amnesty.

This congressman deserves nothing from us, but our disdain for not having done something sooner.

There is no way I will spend my money to prop up this wealthy lawmaker who has been protecting the illegals for decades.

People, I beg you not to take this tack in this situation - big business made it's bed, with the illegals - now let's let them sleep in it.

And isn't Sensenbrenner backing the bi-lingual ballot?

Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys? Oh boy. It all gets so confusing that I think I need a score card. First senator x is against , then for, then against again, then against part, then for part, then ---never mind. Do we have anyone in office who isn't really a politician? (meaning doesn't change according to how the wind blows , but has an innate sense of ethics that is not for sale?)

you know, I woke up in the middle of the night with some things on my mind, and things like this were one of them. I think that someone who is a member of several of the boards we monitor is monitoring here and posting the exact opposite of what we write. I guess it saves them from having to do any of their own thinking.

I have to go, but I just want to be sure non one thinks I am just opposing the idea of spending with Kimberly Clark or supporting a politician, for the sake of opposition.

My belief has always been that the employers should be our targets. We can handle them if we handle our money correctly. They can't hire the illegals or buy politicians if they don't have our money.

Also, it is/has been my belief that the politicians 'speak with a forked tongue' With the exception of Tancredo, I think what they are doing is running around trying to see how they can spin a bill that will keep us from putting them out of office - and at the same time give the employers the amnesty they want.

Sorry, nntrixie, I was on line but not in my house.

No, I didn't mean our posts. I meant that someone reads our posts, such as supporting KimberlyClark because it is an American company and they go write on opposition boards to boycott it because we want to support it.

I definitely wasn't criticizing anyone here. And I will most definitely make it a point to buy Kimberly Clark products. In fact, I'm happy to know at least one company is still American.
