At the link at the bottom of this article, check out the comments and the attacks on me by the poster Mr. GOP. He must be an employer protecting his turf. I think he needs to be knocked down a notch or two.

IMMIGRANTS: Green cards negate jobs

Our federal government reports continuing job losses. It is now time to stop the massive importation of foreign workers. Non-farm employers in the U.S. eliminated 500,000 jobs in November alone. At the same time, the Department of Homeland Security issued 138,000 new work permits and green cards to foreign workers. Month after month as hundreds of thousands of Americans lose their jobs, the Feds keep pumping another 138,000 new foreign workers into the labor force, according to DHS.

DHS' most recent data show the U.S. granted 744,531 permanent green cards to adults ages 20 to 40, and 912,735 new employment authorization documents to temporary foreign workers. That adds up to 1,657,266 new foreign workers (not counting illegal immigrants) added to our economy. If this pace continues, DHS will issue an average of 138,000 new work permits and green cards each month of this year.

President Obama has stated his economic agenda is to create and protect good jobs for American workers. The stimulus package he envisions will cost $700 billion to $1 trillion to meet his goal of three million jobs in the next two years. Unemployed Americans are not likely to feel the impact of his job creation plan because of our current immigration and visa policies. Consider the simple math: During the next two years, Obama intends to create and protect three million jobs while our immigration system is poised to bring in more than three million additional foreign workers. Where is the gain for Americans?

We must urge Obama to seriously reduce -- and in some cases halt -- further immigration of foreign workers.

I love to slap those types around the room a little. He does not seem to be there right now as he is not responding, but maybe he will be in later. I will watch for him.

Yes, that was her. Now mr.gop is blaming it on the consumers by saying it's the consumer's fault for wanting cheaper products. Well, most of the produce I see in my grocery store, for instance, comes from Mexico and it sure isn't getting any cheaper. In fact, just look at the price of bell peppers. They're a buck a piece where I live.

I just put my $.02 in, all 700+ words of it. Let's see how long it stays there.
