A friend of mine commented last night that Bush is probably messing up on this Iraq issue for two reasons. The first is he is prideful and wants his way and to heck with the rest of us. The second is Iraq is a great diversion to keep Americans attention away from the border issue that he is choosing to totally ignore. He hopes the American people remain fixated on Iraq so this border betrayal slips by practically unnoticed.
