Excuse me...But I beg to differ. I don't see Arizona as an "Illegal alien hell hole" since Arizona is DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT and is showing results, unlike California who welcomes illegals and supports them on your tax dollars.

If you want out of Calif., you probably shouldn't consider AZ. Maybe a little farther North and East would be good for you.

I grew up in Mesa and I got the hell out of there as soon as I could!

That pretty much sumes it up. My home town of Santa Rosa now has the 3rd worst gang problems in the state behind L.A. and Bakersfield. It will be one happy day when I can get the heck out of here and move to another state where I can enjoy being arond Americans again and hear the english language being spoken. It will be nice to even go into a Wallmart again without feeling like I'm in a foreign country. I want to live in a place where the Fourth of July is celebrated again, not that horrible cinco de mayo crap. I want out of California!
Me too. Im done with border states. North is likely where I'd go......as far away from the "Cesspool to the South" as I can get!

Yup, that's exactly how I felt and now I'm right next to Canada. I love the UP so far, it's beautiful country. And I CAN now go to Walmart without hearing incessant Spanish chattering. There are a lot of churches around here too and I'm looking for one to go to. There's a Church of Christ near by that I want to try.

I am a native Michigander myself (lower peninsula) and it is indeed beautiful country. Too cold for me though in the winter.

I do remember in my hometown that there were no Spanish speakers at all. Of course that was decades ago. I return occasionally for a visit and nothing much has changed. One gets the feeling of community and comaraderie which is sadly lacking out here in the West. It didn't use to be that way though. Calif. was a fantastic place to live 40 years ago.
