I don't live in Pittsburgh, but live about 90 miles east. I have relatives and friends in Pittsburgh and have spent a lot of time there. There is no major problems with illegals there that I am aware of--not to say there are no illegals at all. In fact when my town passed an anti-illegal ordinance, one of the fruitloops there got his shorts in a twist and wrote a column in the Pittsburgh paper slamming us for doing so and said he hopes that the illegals would come there! Here's the article. I sent him an illuminating email.

I really don't understand the attitude of common people in NC.
Yes, many are dems, but they are quite conservative & go to
church. The repubs say they are conservative, but I don't see
it. They vote for huge bonds to a broken school system. They
agree the illegals should not be breaking the law, but are
generous to a fault. As for the politicians, we need to get rid of
Marc "Kingfish" Basnight. He is a PoS & has the state legislature
rigged. I really don't have much hope for NC. I am really
disappointed in this state. A bunch of weenies.

Someone mentioned about moving to Pittsburgh....if it was not for the fact my husband who is from Pittsburgh so dead set on not moving back I would sell the house, get a job with the school district up there, and move there in a heart beat....
But I want to hear from other Pittsburgh folks...did I see Pittsburgh from rose colored glasses and you guys have problems with illegal too or is it really that great up there????
No you were not looking at Pittsburgh through rose colored glasses, I live in the Township of Mt.Lebanon just outside of Downtown Pittsburgh. I grew up in Carrick which is in Pittsburgh. We have the least amount of illegal aliens in all of the United States. Most illegal alien invaders live in North Eastern Pennsylvania, and that is where I hope they stay.
It has been months since I saw someone who might have been illegal. Usually getting off of a trolley probably coming from Downtown or from Oakland. They probably work in the restaurant industry. I have never been close enough to hear them speak
Two of our local farms in the South Hills hire some for the fields, but they are small farms. I run into a few on the golf courses in the Summer, and I play up to an hours drive from my house to some of the courses to play using coupons from the Entertainment Book. We have over 148 courses just in the southwestern part of the state.
The few that I saw were in the Butler, Beaver Falls part of the State. Maybe 3 or 4 in the last 2 years.
I hear that there are more in the Oakland area, where most of the medical centers and Universities are.
That rag of a newspaper the Pittsburgh Post Gazette actually wanted us to recruit some last year when they were marching everywhere, I don't think they even had enough to march in Pittsburgh, I heard around 50 gathered downtown.
I hope I am not shooting my mouth off too soon and all the Hazelton illegals come here.
Where in Pittsburgh was your Husband from?
