    Ignorance is Bliss

Let me tell you. I did the dumbest and bravest thing I've ever unknowingly done in my life.

Today, I went to the 21st Century Paul Revere Ride Rally. Afterwards, I went to a Mexican food restaurant, with my cousin because that is where she wanted to go and she was in a grumpy mood so I didn't complain. After the meal, I decided to go to Wal-Mart.

I'm tooling around WM, looking for some patriotic stuff, like pins. I found the flags and there were some Mexico flags there too. I thought some really inflammatory things about those flags. I almost took them and threw them on the top shelf and out of site. But I thought, no you don't need to get bounced.

I continued on my quest for camera memory and a whistle for my lanyard. All the time, I notice the sea of Hispanics giving me weird looks. The Hispanic pre-teen kids are staring at me so I look back at them. I'm thinking is my hair cut that bad. I head to the deli for some ham and I'm thinking they really are acting weird but I kept walking with my head up.

About that time, I glanced down and then I realized what was wrong. I had an American Flag Bandana tied around my neck.

Oh, that must have pissed them off. By the time I realized this, I had walked the whole store. I'm making my way to the check out and this little Hispanic woman passes me and leers at me. I lock eyes with her and I said in a bitchy voice, "Yes, I'm an American do you have a problem with that"? She dropped her look and scurried off.

I was way out numbered and alone! Stupid me!

Ironically, the Revere Riders were telling us to fly our flags and get out and get visible. I thought what more can I do? I've already put a flag on my car and one on my house. Well, now I know!

Interesting. Glad nothing bad happened but good for you for speaking up. We all need to speak up! Needless to say either way this goes inevitably there will be some bad things happen. Maybe more than just a few. It has remained relatively civil to this point but I can't envision either side going quietly away. I know I won't!

How was the rally BTW? Much of a turnout?

It was a descent crowd in Arlington. I bet they had a good crowd in Dallas and I didn't get to go. I'm going to post some videos in a little while.

Hi, cough, cough, Dixie, cough, ahem,
Uh, you didn't buy anything in there did you? 'Cause, isn't it true that WalMart employes the most illegals of any corporation? WalMart is also a financial supporter of Communist La Raza, as revealed in

    Good for you Dixie!
Maybe thats something we should all start doing, wearing the American flag. Lets let the world know we are proud to be Americans!
The Stars and Stripes are the worlds greatest rebel flag, wear it with pride and fly it in your front yard!
Our flag was designed by a group of rebels who belived in this country, it was born in battle and baptised in blood.
It has been spit on, scat on, burned and torn by those who hate us.
But it has also been used to bind the wounds of American soldiers who went back and fought for it.
Let us never forget what it stands for! Nor the men who fought and died for it.

    Coto,

WM is about the only gig in town. It's buy from them or Target. I look for American Made Products, which are hard to find in there. Actually, Wal-Mart was slapped with the largest fine to date for hiring a cleaning sub-contractor that hired illegals. Also, several members of La Raza are pretty high up in the WM Company.

    Mountain Dog,

I think some of us need to be brave and we need to show and tell our fellow Americans that we have been walking around wearing our flags and nothing has happend to us yet!

    Dixie & Mountaindog,

I was still working, on 9/11, so I bought a rather large, American Flag pin. Can't afford to buy anything right now, so I wear that pin with pride with anything, casual or dress. Of course, I also have OUR colors on my car and home.

Somebody here has an avatar with our flag and "these colors don't run"!

    Amen!

Heh, I say wave the flag as much as possible.

I recently purchases a lawn chair with an American flag design on it. Perfect for the beach. I also proudly wear a pair of American flag swimtrunks whenever I am in a pool or beach setting. One of these days I'll get around to getting a nice little American flag to display on my truck. I think patriotism is one of those things that you can't really over do.

My own little protest that I'll share.

As many of you know, I have the misfortune of several homes in my area filled to overflowing with ILLEGALS.

On Sunday nights before bed, every one puts their garbage cans out for Monday pickup, including the illegals....which got me to thinking.

Once I made up my mind, I went out to the store and purchased several dozen Say No To Amnesty bumper stickers, and this past Sunday night went out around midnight and put them on all the garbage cans sitting out in front of the houses where known illegals reside.
