IL: Council debating 287g on Monday w/ Mexican Consul?!

    Slowly but surely...

Our city council will be discussing 287g on Monday. They announced publicy that they were going to apply for the training. Now there's word that it might have been all 'talk.'

It will be on the agenda. Someone just posted that someone from the Mexican Consel will be there to debate it. Should be a hot meeting. Stay tuned!

A friend from Waukegan's Hispanic community told me that the Consul of Mexico, in Chicago, will attend the meeting to argue against the adoption of 287(g) by the City of Waukegan.

If you have a chance to send a brief respectable email asking the council to get officers trained in the 287g program that would be great. The more cities that do this the better for all of us.
