Thread: Illegal aliens can collect on CA lottery winnings

In CA. alot of the convenient stores are ran or owned by illegals. so the tickets are sold to illegals by illegals.

A few years ago, a contest held by ToysRUs was won by an ILLEGAL from CHINA!

This woman should not be able to keep the $40,000 she got by spinning the wheel. All American lotteries should require that the person lives LEGALLY in the United States.

She should have to pay back, for all the welfare and food stamps, and the free medical care.

Let them win the lottery. The more money they spend on buying tickets, the more of that money goes to schools (34% of every dollar goes to education in CA).

If they are not residents aka illegals or just tourists, they pay more taxes than would a legal CA resident on lottery winnings as well. I think it's 35% instead of 28% or something like that.

Also, the taxes are withheld before the prize is claimed. The government gets its money before the winner does anyways.

For every illegal that won a few thousand, there are thousands more who spent that much and more which in turn put more money towards schools and back in taxes. At least these poor saps who are buying loto tickets are giving back (without knowing) to help fund schools and other government programs.

We already pay dearly in our taxes and still come up short on education. Were not getting very much for our money!

How can this not be considered aiding and abetting in the eyes of the law? $40,000 is one hell of a lot of aid!

If she or her family of illegals have collected any money or medical from welfare they must pay the money back by law with any winning. Someone needs to contact Cal. Dept. Social Services
