Illegal immigrants cleaning up New Orleans? I hope not!

New Orleans and the surrounding areas are going to need a lot of clean up which is going to mean hiring a lot of people to do this work in the next year or more. I hope to God those jobs go to the people who are now homeless and without jobs due to this distaster and not to illegal immigrants.

    i'm taking bets

I'm taking bets that illegals will clean up most of it.

I mean this is absolutely the kind of job Americans don't want to do. Look after their dead, fix their own and neighbors homes, get their lives back on an even keel, no American wants to do that kind of job. (just being cynical)

In the back of my mind is the thought; where is all the money to fix all this going to come from? Are we not running a 600 billion dollar deficit this year? Do we not carry a 7 trillion dollar debt that we can barely pay the interest on?

Who in the international world would lend bankrupt America money to rebuild a city that was built below sea level? Would you? The unreality of all of this from the actual event, to the response(or lack thereof), to the call for monies that must be being printed and created, as we speak, is just mind boggling. I have hardly considered Mississippi, and the others areas wrecked. Don't mean to leave it out. Just have not thought to that point yet.

At some point we are going to have to review this "thing" we call the American way of life. This hurricane is only the beginning.

I for one want a NEW DEAL! Not anti-socialism, not crony crapitalism, something else. I'm am going to mediatate and wait for a sign.

General Strike. Make the changes ourselves and the leaders will follow. cheers glenn

The city, county and state governments, citizens and businesses will get loans and grants and donations to rebuild and they will contract it out. The contractors will have sub contractors and the sub contractors will hire illegals to save money. I don't think the illegal immigration issue is far enough along at this point to stop this. The illegals will rebuild this area and in the process will move in. Mardi Gras will be replaced with Cinco De Mayo.

That sounds about right. Unless we can get Lou (Dobbs that is) shooting some bullets at the Administration NOW about how they responded to this disaster. That will definitely lead to the borders (Don't forget Pats impeachment bill, it didn't go away), and illegals in the country will be under fire (theoretically)
