Re: Illegals in my office today

I work in a Government Law Enforcement office, yet there was nothing I could do short of calling ICE to show up at my office and that would have gotten my job in jeopardy.

They were working as a sub-contractor (I have no idea what their company is) for the contractor that is remodeling in my office. The Contractor is hired by the Government entity and I have no idea what the company of the contractor is either. I would have been inevitable that if I spoke up or tried to do some question asking or digging, I would have been the one in the hot seat, not the illegals.

For those who question "how do you know their illegals?" Like our County attorney who won't accept that as a reason to enforce the new employer sanctions law, I ask, when does this government give out work visas for needed painters? I don't think so. The work visas are for farm workers and other specialized employment, but painters?

This was a very frustrating and annoying situation to be around them for 8 hours today.

It also kind of indicates that they're not very afraid of losing their jobs under the new law either.

mapwife - Have you considered maybe a call to the AZ attorney general office? Maybe they have some specific information regarding the new law and whistleblower protection as well (due to the tenuous nature of your situation)... just an idea.

Also, on a related note, it demonstrates that the contracting and purchasing process that many government agencies rely upon is seriously flawed as well.

swatchick - Thanks for all your advice and assistance in questions like this and related ones as well:

    Wanna borrow my Minuteman cap?

    This is a good one.

Received this second hand but had to pass it on!

    * I have a friend who is president of his homeowners association in a Dallas , Texas suburb. They were having a terrible problem with litter near some of his association's homes. The reason according to Wallace* (my friend) is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right next to their community.

The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc. He went to see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail. He called the city, county, and police and got no help there either. So here's what his community did. They organized about twenty folks, named themselves The 'Inner Neighborhood Services' group, and arranged to go out at lunch time and 'police' the trash themselves.

It is what they did while picking up the trash that is so hilarious. They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials 'INS' embroidered in gold on the caps.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what they hoped people might mistakenly think the letters really stand for. After the Inner Neighborhood Services group's first lunch time pickup detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras, 46 out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the next morning -- and haven't come back yet. It has been ten days now.

The General Contractor, I'm told, is madder than hell, but can't say anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens. Wallace and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel, because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner association minutes along with a notation about the vote to approve formation of the new subcommittee -- and besides, they informed the INS in advance of their plans and according to Wallace, the INS said basically, 'Have at it!'

SO, FOLKS, I THINK YOU COULD SAY THAT TEXAS INGENUITY TRIUMPHS AGAIN!
Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes.......12 million illegal aliens are depending on you*

First, you forget, I just said I work for the "Cops." Second, I have no idea what company they work for.

I thought about yelling "La Migra" out loud and seeing if they would run. (ha ha)

Serious question Greg....what are the magic words that get them to come out? I have called at least six times and never saw a soul or response of any kind. This was on a guy(contractor in same trade) that admitted that most of his help were illegals.

kniggit i dont take all those liitle digs at me in a bad way
so dont worry but to help you out...

Well first two or three times I called a few years back they didn’t come….

They trust me since I have had a real good record of Identifying criminal aliens
Out of three hundred some arrests in 06 and o7 I’ve been wrong one time.
Later only to find out the guy was wanted out of another state for fake IDs
So I’m batting a thousand but he got away so I guess that makes me 999
. Normally they (ice) can’t just drop every thing and come right out.
But they will and do check out all calls one way or another

If you can and have enough information, they can and do get to the case if its a good one...
    Names and addresses ECT…
a few other things are needed (take it to PM)

Like in the case of the painters and in the one you kniggit is asking about it a no brainier
You set it up with (ice) fast and first before you do anything else. Ever!!! I can’t emphasize that enough.
First Ask the painters to come over you’ve got a high paying under the table job you ask them to do…. make the cash worth their time. No money ever exchanges hands so don’t worry you not really hiring the criminals. In fact at this point you’re helping out America
    Second,
See how many friends they can round up because it’s a big job. Since you heard they are really good workers and you’ve got more work….. poor that part on!!!Money talks with these guys ice and you can work that part out...

I think you guys can put to rest of the story together.

There are things to look for and I’ve taken many classes over the years to identify such things, In this part of the country they (the criminals) just about fall for any storey if the money is right I did a few last year on just talking about selling the same van… Never had a van they never seen a van but we did get a few lbs of pot small amounts of coke and one stolen gun and few men and two women criminal aliens... of the streets hofully for good but we all know thats not always the case

Guys ICE is not the Police and can’t run right out so don’t always expect them two if you’re not in to the crime stopping game… call the police and they have to come…
at that time there is a police report…

If it’s just a citizenship bust.
Do not call 911 this is not the time to explain to a 911 operator why you think they are criminals. thye dont listen and They won’t come right out unless you have seen another crime at the same time of course at that point then it’s on and you had better have been right .

For more tips and pointers or just some info on how to get ICE on your side PM me I do not want to supply any criminals that read this site with the way around the busts...

    But I will say this
Im glad to do my Job for my country and I have never thought twice about it Some criminal have big rewards for the information leading to the aresset and conviction but thats all just an extra
give it to the church it will tick the criminals off that much more and you will fell better about it.

    Take it to PM

I work in an office that has recently moved to a new building. Today i had to answer the phone. At one point, the person on the line asked me a question IN ENGLISH. I answered him. Then he said "you speak spanish?" to which I replied, "No, this is America, we speak English here." He said "I call back later."

Good grief!! We do actually have a Spanish interpreter on the payroll, but that person wasn't available at the time.

The guy spoke English well enough for me to understand AND answer his first question!! Why did he need a Spanish interpreter?????
The flag flies at half-mast out of grief for the death of my beautiful, formerly-free America. May God have mercy on your souls.
