Immigrants given preferred treatment

February 18, 2010

We have a 9.7 percent national unemployment rate. At the same time, we have as many as 20 million illegal immigrants trying to take jobs that Americans need. Instead of stopping them and going after the businessmen who hire them and cheat us out of the tax revenue, Democrats seem to want to help them rather than citizens.

We are losing more than 1 million manufacturing jobs a year. Yet, we are still allowing 1 million new immigrants to enter legally, and are still handing out 1.5-million work visas, allowing people from other countries to take jobs Americans should be doing.

We also have another 1 million people who enter this country illegally every year. It's easy to see why our government can't balance the books: They all failed math 101.

President Barack Obama says he is working to create new jobs. We don't need new jobs. We need to stop giving the old jobs away. And we need to go after the businesses that hire illegal aliens who have been cheating us out of tax money and putting Americans out of work.

I don't know what kind of voodoo economics Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party plan to use to create these mythical jobs. They have been the main party helping illegal aliens steal our jobs. But whatever it is, I'm betting it won't be good for us, because the Democrats no longer work for us.

All the middle-class and working-class people in this country keep getting from our government (and that's both parties) is a slap in the face and a bigger tax bill each year.
