    IMPORTANT message from NumbersUSA

    Just received in email:

    From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA
    Date: Monday 9FEB09 2:15 p.m. EST

Sessions will make one heroic last attempt on E-Verify this evening -- He needs your phone call

    URGENT, THIS AFTERNOON

NumbersUSA's Capitol Hill Team has just told me that Sen. Sessions will likely use a procedural tactic this evening to stall the Stimulus Bill enough to perhaps gain a vote on his E-Verify amendment.

Here is all that you need to know:

No. 1: Phone your two Senators at 202-224-3121 or look up their direct phone number at www.numbersusa.com/myMembers.

No. 2: Tell them that they may have one more chance this evening to correct a terrible flaw in the Stimulus Bill and that you expect them to help Sen. Sessions bring the E-Verify amendment to a vote.

No. 3: Make it clear that unless the E-Verify amendment comes up for a vote, you will hold the Senator responsible for ensuring that hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens will get Stimulus jobs and hundreds of thousands of Americans will be left jobless as a result.

No. 4: If you are met with an argument, note that under current enforcement, one of every seven construction jobs goes to an illegal alien. Unless the Senate passes the Sessions amendment -- which already was approved by the House -- one in seven of the Stimulus jobs will go to an illegal alien instead of an unemployed American.

There is no room for delay. If you can, you must call immediately.

Stay on the phone for only a short time to allow other people to call.

    Thanks,

    ROY

I will call. Thank you for the alert. It is simply ridiculous that we have to keep requesting this over and over. It is truly disheartening, but it also makes us all realize that we must guard our nation and keep a vigilant watch on all of these questionable leaders and their legislative actions.

Richard Burr (NC) will vote AGAINST, he supports Sessions
Kay Hagan (NC) Have not been able to reach her office. All I get is a recorded message about the receptionist is busy. Why does this NOT surprize me? She votes FOR the bill as is! Of course she comes from a sanctuary city, so illegals mean more to her than a LEGAL citizen.

    I will keep trying.

PS> I told Burr's aide to tell him I said THANKS, and to keep up the great work.

Just got thru to Hagan, she is still "reviewing" the bill and has made no decision. I urged her to support Sessions, and mentioned the fact that Burr is!

Called my Senator - one down one to go

I just spoke to Jordan Fergusen in Senator Boxers office and said if she has to vote on bill - which I don't want then she should at least make sure E-Verify is in the bill. I am trying to get thru to Senator Feinsteins office, but so far line is always busy. Did call San Fran office, and got thru and left a message but am going to DC to insure she hears the message. Please Call NOW!

OK got the second one and now branching out.

OK - got ahold of Senator Feinsteins office and spoke to a young women and explained my feelings and why E-verify needs to be in the bill.

She was nice and said she would pass on the information.
    I sure hope this works!!!

I am now branching out and calling Sen Bill Nelson - he got 30,000 calls into his office over the weekend and only 1 out of 7 supported the stimulus bill - but he is still voting for it?

What type of representation is that? He is a Sen from Florida.
Also calling Spector, Snowe and Collins.
