STARBUCK'S
I was wondering if any of you know the story with Starbuck's. We have a zillion of them here in San Diego (and I'm a frequent customer ), and one thing I noticed, is that I've never seen a Latino employee in any of the Starbuck's, much less an illegal alien.
With just about every other eating or drinking establishment in this city employing illegals in some capacity, how is it that Starbuck's manages not to?
I'm not complaining, mind you. I'm thrilled that there's one place I can go to in San Diego to get a cup of coffee where the employees' native language is English, and they don't look at me as if they want to slice my throat out. But again, I'm just curious about them, that's all.Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

Starbucks pays a living wage 12.50 to start I think and full health benefits. The competition is pretty fierce so they pick the best.
Starbucks knows that most of the patrons are well educated and they don't want drooling idiots waiting on them.
I'm sure that Starbucks 'is' color blind I have seen the occasional minority but then they graduate and continue on the career path.
The white employees don't stay their long either for the same reason.
You are too used to seeing the same person for years at burger King taking your order for minimum wage.

So, thereby proving that decent wages and benefits, even in low-skilled jobs, attracts American citizens!!!!!!!
It is now, and it has always been, about greed. Pay a living wage, and provide decent benefits, and American citizens will do the job.Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

THIS KIND OF DISCRIMINATION IS THE VERY REASON SOME PEOPLE ARE OPPOSED TO THIS FIGHT. IF YOU WANT TO WIN THIS FIGHT, CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE!
What do you thing WG?
That's not discrimination, bigoted or racist. It's stereotyping.
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it is a duck.

I live in a town overrun by illegal mexians and I CAN spot one a mile away. No Problem. They're the ones that look and act like they just sprinted across the border and hate US for being on the other side.
Mexicans don't like the fact that Americans can spot them so easily but so what.
It's JUST TOO EASY."There's no such thing as ILLEGALalien-able rights!" REGRESO E MEXICO !

Being a bigot isn't a crime, being here illegally is.

There are many markers that appear that increase the chances of someone being illegal and if these markers are in place and you are actively engaged in researching the issue to try and determine status, then it is allowed on our boards.
Gabriel is right. If you want to go around saying everyone just looks illegal you are helping our opposition with that one.
Now, I once had a reporter that thought I was saying I could tell someone was illegal by looking at them when I was talking about the illegal alien kids they brought to the NC Legislature.
I explained that I believed they were illegal because they spoke no English, they wore gangster wanna be clothing, and their body language radiated criminal to me.
Body language is a vague way to measure something, but coming from the rough high crime neighborhoods I once had to live in, I've become a pro and determining someone's attitude by body language.
It does not 100% mean illegal alien though.
All of our activists should refrain from making calls you can't back up with facts.

If a person is sending off a lot of illegal vibes and mannerisms around
me...I'm going to find out.
I'm not letting anything slide,
Because I might look like a bad bad man.
If the person was a real American they'd appreciate me
being vigilant.

I'm not letting anybody trick me into falling for having
my own morality used against me.

No Way.

Body language is 99% of what leads me feel like someone is an illegal alien. However, immigrants have some of the same behaviors. For that matter, I know of an illegal Canadian that was living in TX. You would have never known he was an illegal. His divorce ended in deportation.
