A woman in Des Moines, Iowa has pleaded guilty to an election misconduct charge for trying to vote twice for President Trump in the 2016 presidential election, according to court documents.

Terri Lynn Rote, 57, pled guilty to the felony charge on June 27, for attempting to cast two separate ballots for then-Republican nominee Trump, CBS News reported on Saturday.

Rote was arrested at a satellite voting station in October when she tried to submit a second ballot.

Lawyers involved in the case are recommending up to two years of probation, in addition to community service, according to court documents.

In her statement to the police, Rote said she tried to vote twice because she believed Trump’s claims of a rigged election, and that her first vote would be changed to a vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

A defense attorney for Rote said in a January court filing that Rote had “significant mental deficits” that would prevent her from standing for a fair trial, according to the Des Moines Register.

Rote’s sentencing is scheduled for August 15.
